Had a strange experience here on a Friday night (1/2/2026). Party of 3, we ordered an app and 3 bowls of Ramen. The first 2 bowls were served individually, as in one at a time, about 10 minutes apart. We thought that was strange. Then the appetizer was brought out another 10 minutes later. The third bowl never showed up. After a half hour the waitress came by to ask how everything was and I told her I was still waiting on my Ramen (it had been almost an hour now). The restaurant was not busy. She looked panicked, asked me again what my order was, and then hurried off. About 10 minutes later my Ramen finally shows up. Took almost an hour and a half to get my food. Fortunately, it was VERY tasty. But the lack of service was a huge turn off. Won't be going back to this location anytime soon.

Ordered the spicy miso ramen. Portion was good. Food tasted very good and was spicy as expected. Cha chu piece was fatty and very tender.

Quality has sadly declined, at least for the Jiro ramen. The broth is no longer as rich as it used to be and the chashu is now served in weird large chunks, cold, instead of properly sliced and grilled. Hopefully the owner will fix these problems before it's too late because this is the only place to get this style of ramen in Chicago.

Decent but not amazing, the vegetable ramen was okay just wish the broth was a bit more interesting - perhaps a miso broth option would be good. Bonus for staying open late however they don't serve beer and ramen without a beer just isn't the same.

I have been coming to the Schaumburg, Chicago Ramen Annex since I lived in Rolling Meadows. I have since then moved back to Bolingbrook and still come to this restaurant for my Ramen cravings.
I typically order the spicy white miso ramen and it’s delicious. The broth has so much flavor, it also has ground beef in the broth so it’s extra protein. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating.
The area is family friendly. About 10 tables, plus a bar top area to eat. Music is pleasant background. I would highly recommend this restaurant and the food. Price is also reasonable.
