The food is okay. However the server is enthusiastic and welcoming. The place did not look clean and the food was okay.

Even by mistake please dont go to this place. Horrible food. Really bad food. Saw the guy who work there (kitchen staff) ordered lunch from a different place for him.

Food was really bad. Not authentic Chinese, infact we make better at home. None of the dishes were tasty . We ordered 4 meals. It was the worst Chinese food taste I ever had. I wonder how this is still in business.

The food was great and the soup was delicious. The guy who served us was very friendly and kept checking if everything was good.
Joe - The owner provided great catering service for my event. We ordered catering order for the following items: Vegetable Singapore Fried Rice, Vegetable Manchurian Gravy, Vegetarian Hakka noddles, and Schezaan gravy Vegetable. @Joe - You should suggest Bhajia instead adding to the gravy. Thank you

I really hate to do this, and really wanted this to be great.
The service was awful, from calling in the order, calling back for add ons, the service was very rude, emotionless and seemingly uninterested in even receiving business. I don’t believe it was an owner, just an employee - but something an owner should really look into more. Really came across as a “I know our establishment isn’t good, but not my problem I just work here” type service.
But hey - we all know of some hole in the wall joint that is notorious for bad service but we all come back for incredible food. This is what I wanted to believe I was about to experience, but I was left incredibly dissatisfied. No one in my family could stomach their plate after the first few bites. Even after a day of fasting. We all wished we just got Inchin’s or drove further for decent halal Chinese (in fairness, something Chicago is lacking in general).
We got sesame chicken, combo fried rice, mongolian beef, some noodle dish and all of it was tasteless. The proteins were physically tough, dishes didn’t even look to be the right color, it all tasted like eating the cheapest meats and ingredients that were cooked under a heat lamp for a week. Granted - we didn’t expect the most amazing food but this was inedible.
The only silver lining was that one more day of Ramadan was decided later that evening for the opportunity to redeem our last Iftar. Many people don’t say this, but thank you Chicago hilal - for that opportunity. I made a lot of istighfar that night for wasting food, but more so for treating my own body with such low quality food. We all should have a higher bar. The other reviews don’t lie - I too wanted to believe.
Atmosphere is a 2-star. There was a fish tank. It gave a classic Chinese takeout vibe - the type you roll the dice for seeing if it’s actually good. But in this game, be advised, you’ll lose.
Respectfully, this place must have once been good and a staple in the community. I hope the owners can get it back into shape and I wish it much success - but this was a last for all of us.

Genuinely the WORST overpriced Chinese takeout I’ve ever had. As you can see the chowmein looks grey… and it tasted as bad as it looks. Soggy and bland. The chicken was also soggy and the sauces were beyond watery. Each chicken entree was $20 for EIGHT pieces of chicken and white rice (yes we counted the chicken pieces, it was mostly vegetables/sauce). The only decent thing was the plain white rice.
The customer service was also extremely disappointing. The white guy at front desk behaved like a rude frat boy. Unbelievable.

I don’t like to leave a bad review but over the years this place has gone downhill, when the owner Joe is there he’ll make sure everything goes well. Then they have a kid named Michell
Working their very bad mouth and no matters in customer service. I understand the pricing has gone up and I respect that to run a business they have to increase, but you just can’t add a 15% service fee without the knowledge of customer. Any restaurant you go it’s 4 people or more you add the service fee not for 3 people. Joe you really need to get to talk with your employee on the front and educate him with his mood swings and attitude. SERVICE NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED.

Food is good but man customer service is very bad. The gentleman in the front needs a lot of education on how to speak, look, smile and work.
