We visited this place for dinner during our trip to Chicago and were staying in the Schaumburg area. We ordered a Khatiyawadi Thali, Rotli, and Paneer Butter Masala. The thali was decent, but I felt it was overpriced considering the quality of the food. The curries were a bit too spicy for my taste. The dhokla was soft; but the sweet was just okay. The paneer butter masala we ordered was terrible because it lacked any flavor. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are much better vegetarian options available in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Gujarati restaurant, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that made me feel right at home.
The food was absolutely authentic and full of flavor — each dish was prepared with care and beautifully presented. The traditional Gujarati thali was a standout, offering a wonderful variety of tastes that perfectly balanced sweet, savory, and spicy. Everything tasted fresh and home-style, just like a comforting meal cooked with love.
The ambiance of the restaurant was calm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to explain the dishes, which added to the overall experience.
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Gujarat and a dining experience that feels both special and homely, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Kathiyawadi King serves the best authentic Kathiyawadi food around. The flavors are bold, homely, and satisfying especially the sev tameta, kaju Ganthiya and kadhi. Generous portions, hot rotis, and warm service make it a must-visit spot.

I had a very disappointing experience here. The food quality was extremely poor. The lasaniya bataka was stale — the potatoes had completely taken on color and tasted at least a week old. The gatta nu saak was even worse; the gatta was so old that it just melted away instead of holding texture. The farsan samosa seemed to have been fried multiple times and reeked of old oil.
Overall, the food was inedible, and I would not recommend anyone to dine here.

I came here and had the chai and samosa chaat. It was so good and fresh. Great prices too for the chaats. I can't wait to come back to try more food. The place looked clean and the service was great. I think people need to remember that when food is cooked fresh ( the way it should be) it can take time. Who in their own house cooks meals in 5 mins? It's impossible and the wait I thought was reasonable for fresh food. Be patient. Only complaint I have is that delicious chai was half a small cup. Not sure if this is customary but I wish I had a whole cup because it was damn good and this is coming from someone who is very picky with their chai. I would definitely get it again. Highly recommend.

This was the waste of money. Zero taste. High prices. Don’t get me wrong but they were really good initially when they opened. Today was a total disaster.

Good place for North Eastern food - Gujarati and Rajasthani especially.
The unlimited Pani puri is a must try. They also have traditional desserts. The thali they have are like those we get in India.
Must try place if you are on a hunt for Desi food.

A true taste of Gujarat right here in the USA! The food is fresh, flavorful, and reminds me of home. From the soft, fluffy rotis to the perfectly spiced shaak and the sweet, comforting desserts, every bite feels authentic. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel like family. The ambiance is cozy, clean, and full of Gujarati charm. If you’re craving real Gujarati flavors, this is the place to be
