The server wasn't really friendly or helpful when asking for additional food items. Server didn't really engage happily and it somewhat felt like we were being rushed out. Food was okay, I got the ham and cheese, it was warm and not hot. Fries were cold. The drinks came fast. I'm a firm believer since I've been in the customer service industry for 20 years, servers work hard for their money and I felt this one did not. The atmosphere was amazing. It wasn't too loud.
Trendy, upscale yet casual restaurant connected to the Renaissance Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised with the Schaumburg Public House. I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for a conference this past weekend and normally avoid hotel restaurants, given their stereotypical higher prices and underwhelming fare. The Schaumburg Public House I can safely say didn't check either of those boxes. With a large menu of affordably priced items, great service and great options it was a wonderful and convenient find. If you're staying at the hotel or in the area, don't sleep on this spot!

Ok food, beautiful interior, decent service.
We tried some of the Persian items chef had added on the menu for fopca conference attendees. Pretty impressed to be honest.
Service was courteous and attentive.
Thank you!

Had a small group for dinner and the service was terrific at the bar and again at the table. Menu is diverse and each person found something they liked. Food was very tasty and overall the Schaumburg Public House delivered a nice evening.
Extremely disappointed in customer service and accountability of this restaurant. I made reservations for Mother's Day Brunch FOUR WEEKS IN ADVANCE (on 04/15/24) for 16 people. I then received a voicemail TEN days later (on 04/24) from Jennifer saying they could not accommodate us and hope to see us next year. WTH??!! When we called to clarify how we lost our reservation, we were told that my name and number was "found on a post-it note in the kitchen a few days ago but nobody fessed up to taking the information" so management just decided to dismiss us. We have guests coming from out of town, with hotel reservations, and now no place to go for Mother's Day. So very frustrating and inconsiderate.

This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! We loved the convenience of having a restaurant right inside of our hotel (it is open to the general public, you do not need to be a hotel guest)
Everything we tried on the menu was high quality and delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient. We were told nearly everything is made from scratch in house and you can tell. We got the horseradish dip, barbecue brisket flat bread, grilled chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles and potato soup. Everything was incredible and we would highly reccomend. It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had.

We stayed at the adjacent hotel.
ROOM SERVICE: 1 star
Tried multiple times to call for soup of the day and also for an incorrect order. Answering machine always came on, yet no one called back. The front desk was busy and clerk said she wasn't able to walk over to the restaurant. Totally understandable and not what I was asking them to do. If this restaurant wants to be able to give room service they should have a separate line for hotel guests to call for menu questions.
FOOD: 2 or 3 stars depending what you order.
Dinner- the pasta in sauce was very salty, the salmon was okay but the sauce had so much oil there was a layer of grease floating on sauce.
Breakfast - bagel and cream cheese. Hot bagel, toasted nicely. Not much you can do to wreck a bagel. Bagel choices were not given. Luckily my daughter likes everything bagels.
The staff that delivered the food were nice. The cutlery and plates are all plastic that is allegedly recyclable but how much ends up in trash? Would be better for the environment if they used reusable/washable dinnerware.
Won't be using room service from this restaurant/hotel again.

First, I think you should know that this is a hotel restaurant, that is also a part of a big convention center. We didn't notice this, until we were pulling in and would have liked to know this beforehand, as we may not have went. The restaurant is upstairs from the u-shaped drop off point in the parking lot. The first impression is that the place is nice, bright and clean. We told the host that we wanted a table for two and he said the bar has open tables and took us there. This isn't what we really wanted, would have rather a regular table, but we just rolled with it. The entire restaurant was lightly populated with customers and we received very fast/courteous attention from the bar tender. The bar tables are built into a large bench that extends one side of the bar and then very small, hard and uncomfortable chairs on the other side of them. The bench is super deep and if you leaned back, there would be no way you could reach the tables. The food came quickly and all was just okay in flavor. One of our orders was a grilled chicken salad and it mentioned anchovies, so we inquired about not getting them and the waitress said, no worries, it won't come with them, and it in fact did come with them, so they quickly remade it without them. The salad was a bit bland but okay overall. We had a brisket grilled cheese sandwich that was also okay. The prices were average and we walked out feeling that we would only return if we were hungry, in the area and no events going on at the convention center, as the parking is crazy when it's busy, as one would expect if they knew that is where this restaurant is at.

My son and i loved this restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast with first rate service and food quality and presentation. The lobby was spectacular and the grounds around the property are asbeautiful as any botatic garden you could visit. The water features, sprays, fountains and ponds surrounded by the lush colorful wildflowers are magnificant. Restaurant and grounds a real hidden gem in Schaumburg!!!!

Loved everything about Public House. Drinks were amazing and food great..our server was awesome! Here for a birthday lunch; just 3 of us. Would definitely come back. Only issue was...it was hard to find. I was looking for a stand alone restaurant; didn't realize it was in Renaissance hotel next to convention center. Drove around 3 or 4 times looking for restaurant. Finally saw a sign....but worth it in the end. Desert was fantastic btw.

Food is pretty low quality, expensive for what it is and the service is extremely slow. A lot of the seating is very uncomfortable. All around one of the worst restaurants in recent memory.

Came here for lunch twice during a convention and each time the food was amazing. Appropriately priced for sandwiches and burgers. Glad this place is here for a good lunch and a nice place to sit and chill for a bit.
