Great place! Highly recommend
Outrageously overpriced. Forty dollars for thinly sliced tasteless meat, uninspiring vegetables, a robot that kept delivering meat that I didn’t order, and then I had to cook the food? What was I paying so much for? Not the work. The fish cake was good, but the whole experience was a colossal ripoff.
How do I start with Shabu You. The food was great, unfortunately the service was god awful. I had to order drinks 5 times just to get it 10 minutes later. Calling the server over on the kiosk is a waste of time. The only time the server actually came on time was to give me the check. Glad I know they care about me being gone after their times 90 minutes. At one point my broth stopped boiling and for 20 minutes no one would come fix it. Based on the reviews, Shabu-You Japanese Wagyu Hot Pot offers a mixed experience. The food is described as great and delicious, with fresh vegetables and a wide variety of broths, sauces, and meats. The Wagyu is enjoyable, and the shrimp is also good, but the regular beef option from the lower-priced tier is extremely chewy. The Korean broth with beef, chicken, and wagyu slices is highlighted, and the matcha soft-served ice cream is delicious. However, the Mother’s Day special featuring Wagyu and lobster was underwhelming, as the lobster portion was only half a lobster per person. The soda machine was out of carbonation, and sides like the takoyaki were missing sauce and bonito flakes, tasting overly fishy. The Japanese-style beef stew lacked flavor. The service is a major positive point, with staff described as friendly, patient, and thorough in explaining the process. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and beautiful, with a clean buffet area and bathroom. The little robots are cute and bring food ordered off the app. The price is a little high, between $30-50 per person, and the experience feels worthwhile only for the higher-end Wagyu selections. Free parking is available in a spacious lot.
