Food was great and service attentive. It was a 60th birthday celebration, Negatives were our seating next to a server station. Given the event not being stuffed into the corner would have been nice. Also there was a very loud and obnoxious diner seated some tables away. Not the restaurant's fault but definitely detracted from the experience. We got the 5 course special and felt like they rushed us through the meal. They brought our dinners seconds after the appetizer even though we had asked for some time between courses. Spent over $150/person and the whole meal lasted 75 minutes.

Not the best dining experience. I ordered a Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic and received an under-poured house G&T "Bombay Sapphire has a distinct flavor". I returned the G&T and received and undrinkably strong G&T as punishment. I do not trust the bar to pour a topshelf spirit unless I am able to see the bartender pour it. I ordered the scallops with rice. The rice was cold and the scallops were lukewarm. My guests and I received our food at the same time, and they were pleased with their orders. I frequent the Downtown Chicago Shaws and have never had an issue before. The attention to detail and quality is not the same standard as downtown.

Great service! Delicious food! Loved the stone crab and king crab. The lobster roll was amazing; my favorite dish. And please order their raspberry pie, it really is delicious! Good job!

The restaurant week prix fixe menu was good. Ceaser Salad, Surf n Turf, with Creme Brulee for dessert rounded out a good meal. The manager took care of a small issue we had at the table which we were most appreciative of.

We came in for Meet Chicago Northwest Restaurant Week. Shaw's had a great Restaurant Week menu and we ordered from that. We will be back! Liked the atmosphere at the Oyster Bar for cocktails too.

First time eating here. Very disappointed in service and food. Server never checked on us after food arrived. Selected our meals from their restaurant week menu - steak was overcooked and whole meal was overly salty.

Waiter was very informative and detail oriented. He anticipated everything that we needed. Food was delicious and drinks were beautifully served ;with taste and presentation in mind.

Initially served flavored water (lemon?. He swapped it out for regular water. Drinks and soup came in a timely fashion, but the main dishes didn't hit our table until 1 1/2 hours had passed. No explanation provided. We ordered clam chowder, lobster bisque, a sea food platter and Parmesan encrusted halibut. The wife enjoyed the clam chowder. My bisque was warm, not hot. The bisque tasted like thick tomato soup with Italian spices. The lobster was sparse with only specks of lobster. The food was well presented with nicely cooked platter of shrimp, scallops and crab cake, but the halibut was very salty. The booth was tight and had a straight wooden back that got very uncomfortable after an hour. We went at 6:30 PM on a Wednesday night and the place was filled and noisy. Beside the food we each had one drink. Spent $162 plus tip. Been to the Schaumburg location twice and never satisfied.

the food was very good. However the service was not. Our server seemed to forget about us. Never asked if we wanted a second cocktail and took a very long time to pick up the tab and credit card to process. She was pleasant but not very attentive.

We dinned at Shaw's on Feb 17th at 6pm. The reservation was under Marcy Hendricks. We were celebrating a late Valentines dinner with our boys. We have eaten at Shaw's for years and honestly have never had a bad meal until last Saturday. For appetizers we ordered the Maryland crab cake and the shrimp cocktail. We felt that the crab cake was under-cooked. It also had a very " fishy " taste. Like it wasn't fresh. The shrimp cocktail was average. We had some smaller than normal pieces of shrimp. The boys just ate off the kids menu. My son was given two small chicken fingers and cold fries. I ordered the two 4oz filets Oscar style. There was 1 very small price of lobster on the plate. My wife ordered the 8oz filet . She wanted it Medium I would say it came out more medium rare. Over all the steak was good. For sides we had grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce. the asparagus were very thin and soggy. For our other side we ordered the au gratin potatoes. They were very average and came out on the cold side. I will say our server was very nice but she was busy. It took awhile to get refills on drinks or some extra bread. We spent over $300 on our dinner. We walked away a bit disappointed.

With family in town, we had thought about dinner there on Saturday night, but it was booked. We went back and decided to try for lunch. It was wide open, so we went into the Oyster Bar area, which is more casual, and the side room was good as one member of the group had mobility issues (no steps and plenty of room between tables). Excellent range of choices on the menu: began with an assortment of a dozen oysters, then selected the poke bowl, Signature chopped seafood salad, lobster roll, clam chowder, and fried shrimp.

We are not quite sure what happened - our reservation was at 7pm and we left after 9pm - it took 25 minutes for us to or order drinks so we ordered our drinks and our food at the the same time. We only ordered an iced tea and a sprite. We were a party of 3 (2 adults and an 11 year old). We had our empty plates sitting on our table for almost 30 minutes. We promised dessert to our child and it was such a mistake as our server forgot to bring it so we had to get his eye contact and I saw the light bulb go off that he forgot. It was soooooo long and painful. The food was perfection however I will never come here again on a holiday.

Love this place! The managers, bartenders, servers, and hosts are amazing! Everyone is very friendly and treats you like a friend. Oysters and seafood are always fresh. Great for lunch and dinner. One of my favorites!

Great food and decent service but some of the tables were very close together. Not sure if it was because they added more tables to accommodate for the holiday but overall I enjoyed my time there.

The service was terrible. I wanted to give the excuse that our server was just busy because it was Valentine's Day but he simply just wasn't good at his job. We had an early reservation at 4:45 so the restaurant wasn't crazy busy at this point. He was not attentive. Plates sat on our table. Drinks were left empty. We cld have ordered almost 30 min before we actually ordered but he just never bothered to stop by and see if we were ready. Even getting the check and attempting to pay out was an issue. His lack of regard for us honestly ruined our experience. I'm not sure if it was because we sat in the bar area, that we had this level of service because I definitely would not recommend and will next time reserve seating in your main dining area if we do decide to come back.
