A family member had to order out for me. I wanted a Lobster Roll. The price was $36.00. The Lobster was okay. No flavor. As a side, Fries were your option. Seriously? I expected a salad or another side for that price. I had cartilage in my sandwich. I will not say anymore, because I am sure that the Lobster was fresh and cooked very well. I do not like to complain and I am sorry, but this was not a good experience for me :(

Shaw’s is one of our go to date night spots. Has been for years. The service was amazing. The food came out surprisingly fast and our server Jose made sure we were well taken care of. I will always recommend Shaw’s (either location) to anyone who will listen. 10/10…always.

The food was delicious but somewhat expensive. I was surprised to see surcharges on my bill for such an upscale restaurant! They claim it was to offset food, service, and facilities. Raise your prices if that's an issue.

When I am in a mood for seafood, this is my place to go. Everything I have tried is fresh, delicious and consistent. Service is excellent! Love the 3 course $30 lunch menu that includes soup/ salad, main dish and dessert ?

Went here yesterday for a girls lunch and had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was good. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, it brings you back in time! It’s awesome. I would have given 5 stars but they messed up my order and didn’t even offer to fix it. The 3 adults ordered the same thing but 2 ordered Parmesan crust and I ordered horseradish crust. When the put it down it looked wrong and I asked the server and he said no it’s right you just can’t tell the difference. Well I took 2 bites before I got to the crust and it was NOT right. I then let him know and he didn’t say anything but oh I’ll go check and then just came back and said oh sorry. I put it in right but the kitchen messed up. And then did nothing! I was pretty surprised. We spent $286 (before tip) with 3 ladies and a child and no alcohol. I had a soda and the other three drank water. So all of the money went to food. You’d think when you’re spending that much money they should fix what was screwed up. I’d try it again but I’d make sure if they get it wrong they were fixing it next time.

First time coming to Shaw's Crab House. I wasn't expecting how the restaurant will make the lunch feel while there. That feeling was astonished, it felt like a was taken to the 1920's from the chill vibe, the lighting was perfectly dimmed and the music playing in the background was to soothing. Once we sat down we got greeted with the most soft and savory pieces of bread, with butter softer than cotton, it spread on the bread so easily my knife was just sliding all over the bread, the little things count so much. Everyone got different items from sushi, seafood, and steaks but I had the big 16 oz ribeye but i when with the Shaw's Fish and chips, call me classic but if a simple dish like this is good in a fancy place like shaw's then the best one it better be good.. It was great cooked perfect. The food is absolutely stunning. i was impress with every single item in the restaurant from the food to the music and specially to the way it looked. Every-time i look around i will find something i didn't notice the fist time. from the amazing lighting and the 1920's chandeliers, i kept thinking i was in Rapture the fictional city in the video game BioShock. What an AMAZING experience

I came here this week with a few coworkers. Apparently this is a very famous seafood restaurant to go to in Chicago. I'm glad we came here. The food was very good. Not my favorite higher end restaurant but definitely a place worth trying at least once. We ordered the seafood tower which was really nice. It had great fresh options. And looked very very fancy. I can't believe I did this - but I was actually feeling some steak that night. So I ordered the filet mignon. It was very good. Cooked perfectly rare just like I like it. The waiter was very nice. He was quick and very friendly. I really enjoyed this place and would come back.

Came here for the first time recently with my husband and we had a positive dining experience! The food and service were both great and it wasn't very busy, despite it being the weekend before Valentine's Day. Upon walking in, the workers were dressed formally and we got seated right away because we had a reservation. Our waiter gave us some suggestions and we were given complimentary fresh warm dinner rolls. These were fluffy and soft, and honestly, if I didn't stop myself, I could have eaten multiple baskets of these myself. I noticed that for the other patrons that were in here, no one was dressed as nice as we were, so I don't think there is any type of dress code. I was wearing a skirt and dress shirt and my husband was wearing dress pants and a button down. However, we had many around us wearing jeans and even hats at their tables, so, interestingly, such an upscale-looking place doesn't have one. For dinner, I ordered the Grilled Ora King Salmon ($38). The salmon was delicious and had such good seasonings cooked onto it. The salmon did not come with any sides, but it did have a crimini and oyster mushroom cream sauce on top, as well as Madeira wine, and micro greens. It was also a good-sized portion in my opinion. My husband ordered the Club Room Combination ($40) plate which included a petite filet, garlic shrimp, and Hudson Canyon sea scallops. His steak was tender and had good flavor and the scallops were the highlight of his dish in his opinion. When it comes to portion sizes, he admits that it did seem small and he wanted more. As a shared side, we ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese ($18). We LOVED it so much and it had large chunks of the lobster mixed in, too. I would come here just for this and it was a great pairing to our meals. Ultimately, we would come back here. We live extremely close by, but even if we didn't, it would still be in our rotation of fancier sit-down restaurants. They have plenty of options on their menu, including sushi and poke bowls, and I would love to try those next time, as well. I think anyone can find something they would like on the menu.

They’re for a family event. Staff very polite and helpful but saw they were understaffed. Food was a “B” but delay in delivery made it warm not hot. Likely the impact of pandemic. Car parking service great snd given crowds a solution. This is a good place overall.

Went there for our 12 year wedding anniversary. Our waiter was rude and very dismissive, I was annoyed with the fact that he corrected me on where to put my shells! I am fully aware of why the bowl is on the table but I wanted a picture of the lobster tail shell, so thank you for just taking it after correcting me. OH BY the way THE LOBSTER was over cooked. Then we were seated by the bar with full view of butt crack from other customers the entire time we were there, but since our waiter was so nice to be tentative to all the other customers and only came back to us when he had some down time there was no point on bringing it up. It was an awful experience we went on March 2nd for a reservation at 7 not sure what the waiter name was but he should be lucky I didn't get the check because when you walked up to ask if there something wrong with the bill it was me arguing with my husband not to leave you a tip! I will not return nor recommend your restaurant.
