I got the hot and sour soup and it's barely spicy. There's only black pepper for spice and the broth lacks the sour flavor that makes this soup special. It is genuinely the least flavorful hot and sour soup I've ever had.

So I ordered a lunch special. There was just a small amount of meat, it was mainly rice. I went back and complained and asked for a large order of beef and broccoli. The ow er was very nice and showed me the order before I had to pay. Granted the chef was mad lol but still good food and good owner.

I really enjoy the food here! So far I've had the wings, combination mei fun, and General Tso's chicken and it's all been delicious. The noodles were cooked really well and I loved the vegetables in the mei fun, and the wings were so crunchy and juicy! The General Tso's chicken had just the right amount of heat to it, too. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a local Chinese takeout spot!

Worst food ever we will not order food from sizzling wok again. The egg rolls were way over cooked the wrapper was hard. The egg rolls had no flavor. The beef cantonese chow mein was all noodles and no vegetables or beef. The chow mein was all mixed together it had no flavor. The side of pan fried noodles were oily. The combination fried rice was very dry and had no flavor. Very disappointing for the amount of money for bad food

EXCELLENT food! I got chicken kow, the chicken was nice and tender, and the veggies were fresh and a beautiful green. Great taste, and I'll get 2 meals out of the small order that was fairly priced at 12.95. I'll be back!!

This review is about the Sizzling Wok Chinese Restaurant, 837 E Algonquin Rd, Schaumburg, which I visited yesterday afternoon for the first time.It is a restaurant of sorts, it does have a few tables for dining in or waiting for your take-out order. I believe it does most of its business doing take-outs.The nice lady working the register was very helpful in making suggestions and getting my level of spiciness right. I ordered egg rolls and a small order of Mongolian Beef for dining in.The nice lady brought out a paper plate, napkins and some plasticware and then the egg rolls in just a few minutes. They were perfect...crunchy on the outside, not greasy and tasty inside with shrimp. The Mongolian Beef followed in just a few more minutes and was just on the max edge of spiciness for me, but tender and flavorful. I love all the green onions that were in it. Both food items were brought out very (temperature) hot, just how I like eating food. One other great thing that I loved was the food was brought out to me already in take-out containers, so I didn't have to ask for doggy bags later. The "dining room" was "nuttin' fancy", just the way I like it because I don't want the owners to be charging me extra to maintain "ambiance" that doesn't do anything to improve the food taste and quality.Bottom line: Kudos to the owners, this is going to become my go-to Asian place! It will take me quite some time to try each entree, the menu is vast!!!

The food was very good. Ordered sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was clearly a home made sweet and sour with fresh green pepper, tomato, and pineapple in it which was a nice addition. The chicken was also breaded there and some pieces were a little over cooked, but overall it was a decent cook on the majority of it. Very large portions. The woman at the counter is extremely friendly and eager to make sure you’re happy. Would recommend.

We stopped by for dinner and enjoyed delicious food. This is mainly a takeout restaurant but there are a few tables if you want to dine in. I had the Pork with String Beans and Basil. It was a large portion and very generous with the vegetables.

If you like small family owned Chinese restaurants this place is crushing it. Generous portions, friendly service, nice food, generous portions. Not a place to take a group over 4-5, much more of a takeout restaurant. We will eat there again next time we are in town.
