“I never leave reviews for Starbucks but I was thoroughly impressed with my experience today. I ordered on the app and picked up in drive through. I could hear the barista taking the woman’s order in front of me, and she was being so kind and helpful to assist this lady in finding a perfect drink. Upon picking up my order, I was greeted with such a friendly Greeting and my drinks were made absolutely perfect, which is very rare because I customize a lot! Great job! “I need to do a review of this location. I will purposely buy something from Target for pick up just to get a caramel ribbon crunch. There is nowhere in the area that actually makes the ribbon in my caramel ribbon crunch. I’ve actually waited in line at a Starbucks location longer than what it takes to bring me out not only my purchase, but an amazing drink. “Starbucks in Woodfield Mall of Schaumburg looks very contemporary, cool and trendy. Its ultra modern design and open floor plan, a fairly large dining area -- all are very attractive and already memorable. The dining experience in this Starbucks largely depends on what time of the day you visit: in the mornings it's moderately busy, in the afternoons and evenings it can take a long time to stand in line to the counter, and then stand and wait for the order to be ready, and afterwards try to find a seating place: it's not that easy. And even more: it is a winter holiday time, and Starbucks is packed! Well, it's surrounded by hundreds of shops in this fabulous mall, and thousands of shoppers walk around and also stop at Starbucks . All that creates a particular, full-of-energy ambiance, so to speak. My order of Cappuccino was ready quite soon, plus I also bought some pastries as a take out (total for three items with 12.0% tax came to $13.27). Service was courteous and friendly. Coffee was good, but not great, pastries were very good, tasty and were enjoyed later. It took me some time to find -- no, not even a table with chairs, that was all taken -- just a tall bar counter in the back of the restaurant, and drink coffee, standing. What can I say? I always liked Starbucks, they have variety of food choices, usually I enjoy their coffee and cold beverages. This time, it's difficult to say, that I was delighted with my experience. Pretty much because of that very busy-busy atmosphere, I'd say. But Thanks Starbucks, see you next time, but in the morning!“
“Emma at the drive thru is very clean, neat, and friendly. She is also very organized. She prepared a bunch of gift cards and envelopes for me, as well as took care of my drink order. She handled a long line of cars and smiled at everyone while helping them. Nice to see such professional care still remains at this location…thanks!“

Not sure if this is just a seasonal thing because, tbh, I haven't paid attention, so I apologize if I'm altogether incorrect here, but on my last trip there (which has been my first in 2 months because, money), and I noticed they have a white peppermint mocha on the menu now. To my recollection, it didn't say anything around it about it being a seasonal feature or for a limited time only, and granted, it was 5am and I was still rubbing the sand outta my eyes, but I don't recall there being a lot of red and green fanfare surrounding its depiction, so.....my gathering was that it's a very, very welcome new menu item. And I say this because it's almost exactly what I get every time I go, and I know I'm not the only one. (I just juice it up with extra shots...I'm a bit of a caffophile)
So, if it's a permanent addition, h311 yes, 'cause it's about darn time! If I'm wrong and it's just a seasonal thing and my half-asleep brain-eye connection didn't make that pickup, well, please forgive this avid white peppermint mocha lover, if you would, and thank you for your time! =)
UPDATE JUNE 2024:
Since the huge renovation project they did both inside and a bit on the outside, it appears and feels like everything flows more smoothly and quickly. Being now, a pickup only on the inside, I think, has made the process of getting thru here quickly as a customer, faster and more efficient than before. It STILL sucks, however, that during peak busy times, it seems nobody can get in or out of the parking lot or into the drive thru lane without things somehow turning into a total clusterfvcx. I hesitate to say this since I feel like I see one on every busy corner already, but I think the ONLY way to alleviate this issue is by opening another location in the very near vicinity, so customers don't feel like they're suddenly driving to a foreign country, even if only an extra 2 blocks, to get their mochaccinos. Other than that, still stellar service, and if district management is reading this, DO NOT EVER EVER GET RID OF KAREN AT THIS LOCATION, AND GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE AND A HALF — SHE WORKS HER AAAASSSSS OFF!! Thank you 😊
Old review:
I've never encountered a single grumpy employee here in the several years I've been coming here, and only once or twice has my order been wrong. And when it has, they've fixed it for free. I only rate with 4 stars instead of 5 because when drive thru lines get long, their speed of service really slows down. I've been stuck there with cars in front of and behind me for more than 30 minutes on more than one occasion before. And while I understand prices are set by corporate, upcharges for certain things shouldn't be as much as some of them are.
Parking: The lot is RIDICULOUS. If you ever want to go to this location before you need to be somewhere on time (like work in the morning, for example) allow yourself an extra 30-40 minutes purely for the time it'll take to finagle your way thru the lot and drive thru. And I'd strongly, STRONGLY advise entering on the end off the frontage road and NOT from Golf Rd where the exit of the drive thru comes out, because since the line often ends up leading out ONTO and wrapping around the frontage road entrance, entering from Golf only hinders the flow of traffic coming out of the drive thru area trying to leave accessing Higgins, and it ticks people off cutting in line when others have been waiting their turn patiently for 15+ minutes just to get INTO the lot, let alone up to the speaker to place their orders.“
“The Starbucks next to the crocs store is the best Starbucks. I asked for a pour over at the kiosk and they said they didn’t make those. The energy of the store is wonderful Scott at the register was fenomenal the baristas are friendly and super fast. My drink was ready before I even finished paying. I will return everytime I shop“
“I pretty much come here daily because it's close, and i'm so grateful that i'm close to a good location! The staff is always friendly, the line always moves fast. It's a small Drive thru so sometimes you worry the line is long, but the staff moves it so quickly! I'd say about 90% of the time the staff is super friendly and calls me by name and is kind and personable. My order is almost never wrong, and one time it was, they fixed it immediately and even offered me the incorrectly made beverage for a friend.“
