Got the chicken masala, sauce was rich and flavorful and paired really good with the garlic naan and white rice. Large portions and friendly staff! :)

I left this place utterly disappointed. Honestly, I’m shocked to see all the glowing reviews because my experience was nowhere near 5 stars. My wife, a few friends, and I (four couples in total) visited this past Saturday. It wasn’t even busy—just two other tables occupied—yet what we experienced was nothing short of a disaster.

The food was consistently below expectations:

The fish fry was bland, and the accompanying sauce was downright unpleasant.

Their so-called “Pulao” was nothing like pulao. It was clearly a vegetable biryani, and only after confronting them did the name shift to “Maharashtrian pulao vat.” If that’s what it is, then call it that on the menu. To make matters worse, portion sizes were wildly inconsistent—as if a child was arbitrarily scooping out servings.

The Tom Yum soup was so salty it was almost inedible.

At what Bengali restaurant do you get such a meager portion of rice? It was laughable.

Service was even more frustrating. We ordered two of their “special” Marathi thalis. One arrived 30 minutes late, and the other never came at all. After waiting 45 minutes, I went to the counter to ask, and they assured me it would be out “in minutes.” Another 20 minutes passed—still nothing. By then, we had waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a simple thali that never arrived. That level of disorganization is unacceptable.

All in all, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Inconsistent food, careless service, and an overall lack of professionalism.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!

Walked for Aloo poori , poori was full of oil soaked and aloo curry seems not fresh . Srikkhand was a joke . Half spoon portion and taste was not like srikhand . In menu says $10.99 but they charge $12.99 plus tax , Made my stomach upset the food . The restaurant was empty except us .
Bengali and maharastrian food they claim
But basic taste is missing . I will not recommend.

We walked in here, place does not have welcoming vibes at all. Seemed dead! No music, no life at all. We were going to eat then go to movies, but food took over 40 min to come out. That too after we got impatient and went to the counter to tell them. They clearly forgot. We had to cancel our movie since we were running late.

Def my last time coming here. Service is terrible, if service is terrible I personally don’t care how good the food it.

There is not much Bengali food option in Chicago land, and this place fills the gap. We had delicious Kolkata style mutton biriyani and chicken kosha. Loved the food. Definitely recommend .
