We wanted to try something different for dinner and we landed at Turmerica. So glad we did. The specialty is Bengali and Maharashtrian cuisine. The Peas kachori, Bengali Chicken Biryani and Chicken kebab were delicious. The Lord Cham Cham for dessert was divine. The Chai was fresh and flavorful. The Dabeli and Misal pav were average. The owner and chef were very welcoming and spot on with their recommendations. I would definitely recommend.

I have been to many many restaurants who calls themselves Authentic. I must say this the most Authentic restaurant so far in Chicago area.
Marathi and Bengali food is their speciality!
Matar Kachori (Bengal special), chicken Biriyani (Bengali style) and chicken Kabab are must try.
Their Misal Pav (Marathi special) was a little spicy but really delicious.
They have outstanding house made Bengali desserts (lord Cham Cham was out of the world)
Will definitely recommend if you are really crave Desi authentic food. Will definitely come back!

Turmeric in Schaumburg is an absolute gem! Their food is bursting with authentic Indian flavors — every dish we tried was rich, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. We had mutton thali, sabudana wada, dosa and schewazan fried rice and lots of sweetsss!! The sweets were a standout, especially the fresh bengali mithais, truly heavenly. We tried the sweets and loved them so much that we took a try of 50 pieces for our party next day!!. What really sets Turmeric apart is their warm hospitality; the staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making you feel like a valued guest from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is elegant yet cozy, perfect for both family dinners and special occasions. We left with full hearts and fuller stomachs. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for genuine Indian cuisine with top-notch service. If I could give more than five stars, I would!!!

We did unlimited pani puri and we had a competition with some friends! It was a 3 vs 1 and my friend ate 100 while the rest of us had 100 in total!

One of the best spots for authentic Indian food in Schaumburg — hands down!
From the rich aromas to the perfectly balanced spices, every dish bursts with flavor and tradition. The menu is a true celebration of Indian cuisine, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. Warm hospitality, inviting ambiance, and food that speaks for itself — a must-visit for every food lover in town!

I don’t usually leave reviews for restaurants unless I’ve had an exceptionally bad experience—and unfortunately, that was the case with Turmerica.

I was genuinely excited to try this place after hearing they serve Bengali food, which is quite rare to find. But in less than two months, I’ve had three disappointing encounters.

The first time I visited, I was told they were hosting a private event and not serving any customers. I’ve never had to leave a restaurant empty-handed like that before. Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called a couple of weeks later to place a takeout order. That time, we were told they don’t serve biryani on weekdays—something that wasn’t clearly mentioned anywhere—so again, we didn’t order.

For the third and final attempt, I chose Turmerica for my birthday dinner. We made a reservation earlier that afternoon (just for three people) and were assured that two biryani portions would be saved for us. But while we were on the way there, we called again—only to be told the biryani was either burnt or had gone bad.

Three letdowns in under two months is more than enough. I was really looking forward to trying authentic Kolkata biryani, but this experience reflected poor planning and customer service. I truly hope they improve things for others, but I won’t be returning.
