We found this little spot on our GPS as we were heading into Illinois, and it didn’t disappoint!! They make their crust, which was a perfect combine of soft and crunchy. The flavors were spot on! The staff has been there for years and are very friendly. The owner was there and we chatted with him for a bit. By the time we left, we almost felt like family! Note: We were traveling in a motorhome, pulling a toad. There’s a huge parking lot next door they said it was ok to park...
I hadn't been to Gillios in over 20 years...last time I was there it was still the old building. I was a regular customer back in the day! Stopped there on the way back from Smokin Joes Fireworks, and its STILL the BEST pizza in Southern Illinois! The new place is really nice! The service is great. The food is great. The price is cheaper than any place around! Katie and her parents are such nice people and have a wonderful establishment. After having some Gillio's Pizza...
My daughters favorite pizza small town joint. Family owned and very nice people who go out of their way to make your experience great! Just ask if something isn't right and they will correct it no problem.
