“I grabbed a cheeseburger and fried pickels. The cook/owner was a super friendly gal and a super cook. I believe those tomatoes on burger were garden fresh. I ate at the bar which I loved how it was set up. Very good, easy relaxed atmosphere. Spoke to the bartender/ owner and chatted about people we've knew. I didn't catch their names. I think Tiffany was what the husband /bartender said. I would definitely drive from Carmi for another cheeseburger!”
“You order at the window inside rather than at your booth. Prices are good, cheesesticks are kind of plain-just toasted French bread with mozzarella on top. Pizza was tasty and more on the thin crust side rather than hand tossed. Could order a deep dish as well if you like your crust thicker. Drink selection could be better-no diet options.”
“This venue is a welcoming and quaint (granny in the kitchen) restaurant, known for their LOCAL steak and everything is made from scratch! It's a horse camp, as well, complete with the campfire right out front.Since it was a Sunday afternoon, the steak had been consumed by the hungry cowboys and their families on Friday and Saturday nights, so I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and fries with a side of homemade ranch dressing. Everything was amazing!!”
“I was told the burgers were the best in the area. I will say they are really good the best I would not agree with. This is a quaint little out of the way grill and bar. I highly recommend stopping and have a bite and a drink. The staff is great and the food is good. If you are close a must stop.”
“Mimmo's is a small, local Italian restaurant in Ridgeway IL. I was stopping by and wanted to get a bite to eat. The meatball sub was great! I really liked the bread! Was it made in-house? The texture was so good! It was not like something that comes from a factory! The meatballs were delicious! Just the right amount of sauce and cheese! I tend to over-do it when I make meatball subs. The meal came with a salad as an appetizer, and there was plenty of salad! They whipped it up when I ordered, so it was fresh! I'm definitely not sorry I stopped to eat here!”
“This is a cool little hole in the wall bar. Its off the beaten path in Old Shawneetown. We came up to while out exploring the Sturgis bike rally. Its sad the the old town is mostly gone but it looks like an old ghost town. Bar had some bands playing and the beer was cold. Priced very good!! I don't know the food menu except a burger I seen some one order. They have outdoor seating as well. It was good enough for us to stop back by on our way back as well. The staff was very friendly as well.”
