I’m a frequent customer at your Old Orchard Skokie Adagio store location.
I would like to share with you an unfortunate experience I had at the store recently. I purchased a to go tea and some additional items in store. The staff member notified me that I have $16 worth of credit on my account at the register. My total was only $11 so she said I will be able to use the points at a different time. When I asked to purchase additional items in the store while waiting for the tea, the employee notified me that I was not able to redeem the points because they were lost, even if the transaction was reversed.
I have bought several items from your store and have been shopping at this location for years with my family. I would have appreciated being told that I would not be able to redeem the points for future purchases if my total didn’t equal at least $16 in one transaction. I sent an email to the manager and never received a reply as well.
Unfortunately after this experience, I will not be shopping here for this holiday season.
Edit to the management response: Thank you for your reply. This issue was not due to a return. I am willing to stop in to use my remaining loyalty points in store in the future.

Went there today around 12PM, Google store hours says they’re Open. However, when I got there, doors were locked, lights were off, and not a single employee in sight. No signage posted on the door for why they were closed. No store hours posted at the store either.

i've never been to the real life story, but i've been ordering online, and i have to say i've never been happier. i get to try all the teas i can ever imagine and even make my own. Most every tea is declious and enjoyable. and they love giving out free sample. Defintely try them out if you love tea

Have ordered from Adagio online before but today was my first time visiting the store. The staff was very helpful in explaining the store layout, the different teas and answering all of my questions. Ended up getting a couple sampler packs before committing to a bigger pack.

Erika was absolutely awesome! She helped me tremendously with exactly what I was looking for. She gave me multiple options and then wrote notes down for me as well. I could not be happier with my purchase and my expirence. Shout out to Erika! Praise God!

I purchase samples from them when they popped up on facebook literally over a year ago and I waited two weeks, never got them, emailed them, they asked me to wait another week even though I could clearly see from the tracking number that they left New Jersey and never went any further. I waited two weeks, because I got busy, still never got them, messaged them back on both email and via their website, never got a response, decided it wasn't worth it but they kept sending me their stupid promotional emails even after I tried unsubscribing. I started reading their reviews and realized that many others had this same issue and that they are known for their poor excuses and customer services, so I rekindled the complaint, was told I'd be refunded, never got it, so I filed a complaint with the BBB which caused them to respond giving me some sorry excuse about how my initial message got lost because it goes to generic customer service (uh, where else would it go?), and then tried to blame the post office for the problem. They said once again they'd refund me. Never got it. Absolutely sickening. I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a company, not even Amazon.
I’ve been buying online from Adagio Teas and I love it. Large variety, especially in the area I need which is non caffeinated beverages. While I’m not such a fan of decaffeinated teas like black and green, naturally decaffeinated products such as rooibos, herbs, etc and tisanes are well represented. I also appreciate being able to buy sample sizes as well as large amounts for favorites. The teas are delivered quickly and well packaged. Some accessories seem a bit pricey but most things are good quality. The app is decent and your past purchases and your opinions are stirred for you for future reference. All in all, I recommend them.

I had an amazing experience at this store, thanks to Erika! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel so welcome. She was not only friendly but also incredibly patient and helpful, especially as I had my niece with me. Erika took the time to answer all of our questions, and her positive attitude made shopping a breeze. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find such exceptional customer service, and Erika truly made our visit special. Highly recommend this store and Erika’s fantastic service!

I’ve been ordering tea from Adagio since 2016 and have only had great experiences every time I order. The tea is fantastic and their website is easy to navigate. They keep my order history, preferences and points up to date and apply the points to my order with no hassle, along with any birthday discounts and coupons. My only complaint is that the app never seems to work for me, but I just go to the website and there’s never a problem. Quick delivery and again delicious tea.
