Do you want to have a GREAT PARTY?!? We hosted a birthday party brunch at Blue Kale Cafe & Lounge and it was a smashing success! We had 25 guests which perfectly and comfortably fit into the lovely, gracious space. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing and our guests, one and all, loved Blue Kale! Blue Kale is always a favorite any time of the day and it was just perfect for our party!

First time here for breakfast w family. We were greeted quickly and helped rearrange seating for our large party. We all ordered varying items. Some were excellent, like the salad and sandwiches. Omelettes were bland and small portions for the price. A lot of local families come here and it has a nice atmosphere. Overall a very nice neighborhood cafe for a fresh meal. Again portion size could be better to match the price.

Such a great lounge and cafe in downtown Skokie that I’ve now become a regular at! The food is so fresh and the atmosphere is welcoming! One thing that especially stands out is their HOSPITALITY!!! Always smiling & showing genuine care which is very hard to find/see at local places nowadays!

Zero stars if I could. Server decided to check his Snapchat notifications as he’s taking our order. Freezing inside, food was cold, bread stale and just gross. Food came 45 minutes after we sat down and had never received our drinks. When I asked for the check so we could just leave l and that we never got our drinks an employee said “we just made them” so I asked if they could just put them in a to go cup, to which he said yes then just proceeds to stare at me.
My friend and I visited this wonderful breakfast spot this past Monday, and we had such a positive experience. While the food was great, the highlight was definitely our server, Niko. Niko was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He made navigating the menu and making dietary adjustments incredibly simple. When we asked about replacing an item in our dish, he handled it with ease, demonstrating a deep familiarity with the menu and ingredients. His constant smile and effortless, friendly demeanor truly elevated the meal. He made the entire process seem simple and efficient, proving what great service looks like. We highly recommend stopping by, and if you do, try to sit in Niko's section—you won't be disappointed!
