Tried this location last May after eating dinner nearby and after wandering around Old Orchard Mall and not bad at all. We live pretty far north in Beach Park and have only a single location in Vernon Hills.
I'm aware that compared to most boba houses in the Chicago area that people refer to CBT as the McD's of bubble tea and lacks authenticity.
For myself it's not that bad and the older of my 2 sons absolutely loves this brand being it was the first bubble tea I introduced him to (Taro, which is all he drinks) just before his 3rd birthday, he's 10 now.
Whether it's classic bubble tea on ice or blended, their creations or just tea in general; they have plenty of flavors, boba options and add-ons.
Like any other location the prices are fair, the dining area was clean and service was friendly and welcoming. I certainly hope for continued boomin' business for several years to come for the owner(s).

I ordered a Lemonicious drink and the customer service was phenomenal. There’ a huge variety of boba and drink flavors. The young lady working there named Carly was a sweetheart and let me know of all drink she recommended. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Amazing customer service from Diana. Always welcomes me in and is fast and efficient. Even with a rush my drink did not take long. 10/10 will be coming back again soon

If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. I walked into the store with some of my friends just wanting some boba. Nobody was standing at the register and it took about 5 minutes for somebody to show up. The worker finally showed up and barely said hi. She asked us what we wanted to order. My friend ordered her drink and was charged 10 dollars for a small drink that costs 6 dollars. It should be around 8 dollars. (Tax should be like 2 dollars max.) The worker kept the receipt and never asked if my friend wanted her receipt. It was my turn to order with my other friend and we ordered a large drink that is also around 6 dollars. The total was 15 dollars! I wanted the receipt and she just ignored me. I’m thinking the worker added a tip for herself because whenever I go here they always give me the receipt and show me the option if I want to tip when paying. This time the option wasn’t there. We payed and got our drinks. We sat down and on the wall by our seat there was a large brown stain on the wall. It looked like a drink spilled and not cleaned up. That disgusted me. When finishing my drink, the more I got to the end of the drink, the more chunkier and distasteful it became. The tapioca was also frozen. Whenever I go here, the drinks are always fully blended and there isn’t anything frozen at the bottom or chunky. I am honestly very disappointed in my visit here:
So good! So many options and flavors. And reasonably priced. I love this place.

I got two Taro milk teas did not taste great. I thought they were spoiled and not good at all. We also got the cookies and cream and the taste was very milky and bland. I was really looking forward to quality bubble tea.

The employees had an attitude and seemed bothered by the fact that someone walked in to order. Anyway, my drink is actually not bad. I was worried since the other reviews talked negatively about the drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I am a regular customer. I love this place. Amazing Frozen Bobba. I am very disappointed with today’s customer service from “Stephanie”. Walked in at 9:30, she denied us bobba or flavored bobba, i asked if they had flavored gelly, she also said they didnt. When she had just put it away. She was in a rush to leave. I sat down at 9:35, she turns off the light bulbs in the seats, & she says “just to let you know we closing already” never have i had this problem with any of their employees before. I love this place , but will not be coming in when i see her there. I most definitely lovee the other regular employee. She’s got amazing customer service, but Stephanie will not be recieving my tips, nor my servicee.
