Heard a lot of good things about Crave Kabob, so I decided to pay to check it out for dinner. However the food was terrible. I came around 530 pm last Saturday (9/10) Ordered The Shawarma combo, half chicken and steak. The food wasn’t fresh at all and it was very dry. The meat was just reheated and served to us. It was a rubbery texture. As you can see in my photos. It also came with a cold pita, usually served warm at other establishments. However the falafel was pretty delicious. I had high expectations of this place but lead into disappointment. Also the cashier kept going back and forth eating random things, not sanitary at all. I recommend not going here, there’s so many better options in the area such as PITA INN.

I liked this place. It's like a Mediterranean chipotle or a roti. Not as good as roti but very decent. I had to a "crave bowl " and asked for a base of half chopped salad and half biryani ( spicy rice). Picked chicken Shawarma as my protein and baba ghanoush and Arabic and cucumber salad. Everything was pretty good. Flavors could have been stronger and overall spicier. Recommend if in the area and want to mix things up a little and not order from pita inn ( which is pretty close by). Friendly service. Clean, aesthetically pleasing bright and cheery atmosphere

Absolutely bomb! I have a thing for the Mediterranean food and decided to give this spot a try, I was not disappointed. I ordered takeout through chow hound, which was very simple to use. I got a mixed grill which comes with a chicken kabob, beef kabob, beef kufta, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, half spicy biryani, half yellow rice, baba ganoush and a fattoush salad. You get to choose your rice, spread and salad. I also got the spicy hummus, added falafel and it came with some pitas. The portions were plentiful for the price. I will definitely be going back to try some other things. Check them out!

After many, many excellent meals here, the carry-out I picked up last night was sub-standard. The soup was a full inch below the top of the container. The lemons were past their prime, mushy and spotted. I understand why prices had to be raised - but do you really need to cut portions too? Don't care much for the double whammy. And put the container of cold hummus on top of the hot soup? What condition do you think that was in by the time I got home? I hope this isn't their 'new normal.' I've told so many folks I know that this is the best Mediterranean food around. I hope that remains the case.

Very good food, very fresh! Food is made to order (NOT sitting on grill overheating, waiting for orders). Service is good, staff is friendly and helpful. Very fair prices. Definitely worth trying if you haven't already been there.

Best Mediterranean and Arab place to eat in Skokie. Their Bowls and wraps are very delicious. The place is clean and the people are awesome. I will highly recommend.

I like this place a little bit more than Pita Inn. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. You order at the counter and had similar dishes. I did like that they had fried cauliflower and Pita Inn doesn't. The flavors are pretty similar but made fresh to order. They're not as busy but their falafel tastes better and has a little difference in spices that I liked. They have combination plates, but what I was in the mood for. It's also much smaller than the Pita Inn, but in the summer I'm coming here for the seating. It was hard for me to find the first time because I didn't expect it in the same parking lot as the car wash and ended up in the parking lot of McDonald's so turn in before that. Lol No bathroom in the facility. A very clean and tidy place, too.

Not bad, not bad at all. It's been awhile that I wanted to try this place. Tonight was finally the night. While I liked the food, I think my expectations were a little high. I started with the spicy hummus which was only ok. Maybe it's too authentic for me, but it had way too much oil and liquid. I was also expecting it to be spicier. Not sure why it had some jalapeños in it as there are plenty of zesty peppers in the Mediterranean. It wasn't a great start. I went with the beef shawarma sandwich meal which came with fries and a drink. The meat was outstanding! Very flavorful and tender. The fries were also awesome. The only weird thing is that the sandwich was just the meat, veggies, and sauces between two pitas. Not sure why they didn't just stuff the singular pita as two pitas becomes messy. Anyway, the food was a little on the expensive side, but I am stuffed so that worked out. I'll be back for the shawarma, but will skip the hummus.

ehhh..another pretender to the throne occupied for years by pita inn. went here the other day and..,.falafel sandwich close to 7$. I know prices have gone up and it was a big sandwich but the falafel balls were not crispy despite my ordering the pita version and not really hot. the pita bread also wasnot warm and was falling apart. I realize pita inn has the advantage with their own bakery but cmon, nuke the damn bread to give an appearance of freshness. the hummus, side salad and spicy rice were fine but the chicken shawarma SUCKED. the pieces were not juicy and looked old and dry. for 24$ i expected better. the winner ans still champ...PITA INN

I know what falafel should taste like.I'm Middle Eastern, 40 years old, worked in falafel restaurants for many years. By far this place is one of the best in Chicagoland. mmm mmm mmm?.Make sure to to put the Fries inside the sandwich ?
