De-Jred Fine Jamaican Cuisine

Recently came here and had the curry chicken, fried plantains, steamed cabbage and beef patty were delicious. Everyone was smiling, friendly and service was good. I wish the jerk chicken wasn’t dry and that the jerk sauce it was covered in was spicier instead of on the sweet side but overall good food.

Fell in love w Jamaican food after traveling to Jamaica last year. I’ve tried a bunch of different spots in the area and DE JRED is by far my favorite. Amazing flavors and the meat is fall off the bone tender. Thank you!

Wonderful little Jamaican cafe with sweet owners and delicious food. This place spoiled me for all other local Jamaican food. Relaxed vibes and absolutely incredible, super-legit fare. This is where I go when I want to treat myself.

Unfortunately, the jerk chicken was stale, flavorless, dry and crumbly. It came with four tiny slices of plantains that were burnt and reheated. Also included was a couple of Tablespoons of extremely salty cabbage and a small container of flavorless, reheated rice and peas.

Back home Caribbean feel and the food is well prepared and delicious. My wife and I drive from the Southside to De-Jred if we want food that reminds us of back home.

So much potential but they woefully und erstaffed. Only one person at the time available to take orders, prepare the food, serve the food and run the register.

Went in about a month ago and was not disappointed. I got the oxtail with butter beans, which can with rice, cabbage, and plantan. Super delicious definitely recommend to come and try out this spot.
