Beautiful restaurant- everything is clean and new- the lights on the ceiling are like little stars, very cute. Our waitress was attentive, explained different options on the menu that we weren’t familiar with. I had the rellenitos. The beans, eggs, plantains and salsa tasted so fresh and the portions were just right!

We came for brunch on Sunday. Seated quickly although all other tables were full. Great and friendly service, lively and warm atmosphere. Food was amazing- the strawberry lemonade was freshly made- not syrupy. We had the Ropa Viejo, Ay!,Wey.

Don Julio Cafe is a fairly new restaurant to Downtown Skokie. It moved in where Euro Echo Cafe used to be, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Since the opening, the menus have gone through three or four iterations and have gained more options as well. The food and atmosphere are phenomenal, and the service is always incredible!
I ordered the Tostadas sin Aguacate (no avocado) with a side of potatoes, and someone else ordered the American Breakfast. I also ordered a hot cocoa.
