Maybe it's just the times we live in, but 2 hot dogs, fries and a drink shouldn't be over 15 dollars. This place is pretty much what you'd expect from looking at it. A neighborhood staple serving decent food. The people working there were nice, and there seemed to be plenty of regulars that patronize the place. They even have newspapers for you to read while you wait or dine in. Not many places do that, old school vibes. I only ordered hot dogs and fries, so I wasn't looking for a transcendent dining experience. The hot dogs were solid Chicago style dogs, not the best, far from the worst. The fries were just fries. Good, but not worth what they charge. The fountain drink was good and cold, but again, too pricy. All in all, this place was ok. If the price point was a little more reasonable, this place might get a higher ranking. The people are nice enough and the food is pretty good, but there are better meals to be had in this price range.

Iv never had a bad sandwich here.. BUT UNTIL I tried their patty melt.. worse melt iv ever had.. paper thin and so greesy.. terrible.. their dog and burgers are good.. oh forget the pasta, sauce is load with junk..
