I had such a fantastic experience at Lao Sze Chuan! The food came out so quickly, and every single dish was absolutely incredible and full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience even better. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine with top notch service!

I’ll be honest, I was a little hesitant to try this place because several of the recent reviews were not very favorable. But I am new to the area and was really craving Szechuan food, so I took a chance. And the food was great! I got the food to go, so I can’t speak to the experience of dining in. But the food was exactly what I was looking for! We shared the chef’s special chicken, combo noodles, twice cooked pork Szechuan style, and the Szechuan style/sautéed green beans. We got medium spicy, and we could have definitely gone up to full spicy (will do that next time). Everything was really delicious and fresh. We will definitely come back!

Whenever we were short on time and craving Chinese food, we used to turn to Lao Sze Chuan. Their food was reliably fresh and flavorful, and it became a go-to spot for us.
Unfortunately, that has changed recently. We have noticed a decline in both taste and quality. On several occasions, the salt and pepper squid was tough and hard to chew—as if it had been refried. The chicken in the Kung Pao Chicken was rubbery and unappetizing.
We brought these concerns to their attention, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, we were met with defensiveness and no apology. Only after much pushback did they agree to replace the food with freshly made dishes. We should not have to fight for the quality that should be standard in the first place.
Because of this, Lao Sze Chuan no longer holds a place on our favorites list. It has become a last-resort option, and we would rather not play a guessing game with freshness.

Once again I waited and waited and waited for the waiter that brought my menu, water and cabbage starter to my table to look up from his phone. No amount of glass dinging or excuse me, or hellos, would get the guy to look up from his scrolling then texting. I literally had to scream across the restaurant to get anyone's attention. Boy was he offended! How dare I want to be waited on while he's busy on his phone. This is a CONSTANT problem at this location!!! the Asian staff members always have their faces in their phones. Of course after all this I didn't dare order I left. I have been a regular here for 2 years I bring clients here family and friends too. I guess the owner never comes to this location. Really need a total ban on phone use at work. Owner are you listening???
