Everything was delicious, wish service was a little quicker, but overall very enjoyable and will be back!
Food was very good - just would have preferred that the timing be staggered a bit more, as the different dishes all came too quickly, one right after the other.
A few hits and misses. If you stick to the hits, you would be ok. Hit - Shrimp - Shishito peppers - Flautas -Arepas Miss -Cauliflower ( should not be a menu item) - Potato Bravas ( we like spicy and they were inedible) -virgin margarita (we were charged the same price as a regular margarita, which is unfair) - waiter did not ask about food allergies
This place is a total sleeper. Good, ambiance service all top notch. Should be Michelin - mentioned.
The appetizers were amazingly delicious, and a meal in itself... We ordered three appetizers and a couple of drinks each. We left there feeling completely satisfied. A dark... yet wonderful environment. Nice place for a romantic dinner date.
First time at Libertad, although to be honest, the chef has worked with me on an event in the past. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays and we had a great time! We were part of the early dining crowd - getting there right after they reopened for dinner, but they were welcoming and ready to go. Our food was well paced, with our server making sure to take care of our child guest first (much appreciated). We loved the food (we ordered all vegetarian) - our favorite was the patatas bravas! All of the dishes were well prepared, but some could have used a bit of salt and the special acorn squash dish was REALLY rich. I am doing dry January and the first mocktail I ordered - a spicy passionfruit number - was SO good, unfortunately the margarita was really acidic and unbalanced. My friend had two cocktails, both of which she really enjoyed. Overall, the experience was great - from the small, intimate dining room and food & drink, but especially the friendly service!
Such a hidden gem, this restaurant was amazing and I'm so glad we stumbled upon it. The complementary soup was so good we asked for a whole bowl, we also ordered the pulpo and the risotto special they had for the day and I cannot decide which one I liked better, they both blew my mind. Great service, amazing food, definitely a 5 star restaurant!
Outstanding service with Deanna! Drinks were delicious as always....i had a Vesper.Vegetarian dishes were my favorite! The cauliflower and the arepas were great! I will dream about a whole pot of the amuse bouche corn/pepper (maybe habanero?) Soup! Patatas were super crispy, and I saved a few for leftovers. My husband really enjoyed the chicken main course and the tuna ceviche starter. We can't wait to go back!
The staff and food was astounding. Our waitress was great and took her time to describe the dishes in detail. The staff was so pleasant and you had the feeling they really enjoyed being there! Everything they served us was excellent. The Ceviche, Flautas and Camarones stood out. For cocktails the sangria was excellent. I would highly recommend!
Service was great, and we all enjoyed our meals. The brunch at Libertad was an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I are simply hooked on this place! Friday evenings and specially weekends, the exterior unassuming facade of this Skokie neighborhood restaurant comes alive inside at 5PM with the sophisticated aromas and Latin flavors crafted to awaken the senses. The food is served to perfection in a welcoming neighborhood ambience attended mainly by a crowd of regular foodies. If you haven't been to Libertad yet, it's a great place to rediscover new Latin flavors artfully crafted to awaken the senses.
We were completely blown away by the food, drinks, and service at Libertad! Everything was spectacular and they were very accommodating for our 15 month old. Looking forward to going back very soon!

We always sit in the corner at the bar.
Jennifer is amazing. Very personable, smart and witty. The food and cocktails are always amazing. And her hospitality is the icing on the cake.

All around mediocre place. Don’t get the hype with the reviews. Steaks were over sauced and food prices were comparable to downtown Chicago without living up to the same quality. Reservations require $10 a person but the place was maybe half full. Waste of time

Food and service was great! Only issue was We had outdoor seating and it was Cold the heat kept going off. Every time it would get warm the heater would turn off and it would get freezing. Once we were done eating and a table became available inside they moved us there for dessert which was very nice Otherwise, I would definitely go back again. Just make sure I have an indoor seat or that it is warm outside
