Excellent! Hummus and Scallops specials were a hit. Large size caesar salads and crab cakes were fantastic. Service was spot on and the vibe was just perfect. We really enjoyed the entire evening!

My first time trying this spot as I don't live anywhere near it. Referred by a friend and so happy we followed that direction. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Food had amazing flavors with a bit of spice on the back end. Our waitress DeAnna was lovely and walked us through the menu and specials with great detail. We loved all she recommended.

We came here with friends who recommended it. And WOW was it phenomenal. Food, drinks, and service were all terrific! It is a true gem with a Chicago neighborhood restaurant feel, without going all the way into the city. One of the best restaurants we've tried in a long time!

Exceptional service and delicious, innovative food make this a great option in downtown Skokie, which is not generally a dining hot spot. Really good wine selection as well. This is the third or fourth time I have dined here, and I am always glad I came.

Everything was amazing. We got our table immediately, tried nearly all the dished on the menu, everything was superb. We sat there for 4 hours eating, smiling, and chatting! Can't wait to return.

My husband and I live in the area and decided to check it out, first and last time. The restaurant was only open for brunch so we had a drink at the bar. I ordered a Margarita ($14 bucks) absolutely no Tequila in the drink it was a pre-mixed ripoff. I was looking around and the ceiling in the dining room was so filthy and disgusting I couldn’t believe the Health Department hasn’t shut them down, people eat under all that filth.

Good find!!! We wanted to try a good pan Latin restaurant and found Libertad in Skokie. Nice vibe in restaurant and decent selection of small and large plates. Overall we were pleased with the restaurant.

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves at Libertad for Valentine's Day. The experience was nice and we were both impressed by the service. We started with a cocktail. The drinks were strong but also mixed well. The lomo saltado was different from some that I've had in the past. Different isn't a bad thing and I still really enjoyed the meal.

Loved the food. We had eight of the small plates - all excellent. Plus sorbet. We sat in the tent patio and dressed appropriately for the cold evening (this was not our first time sitting in the tent and we brought an extra wrap). Server was lovely but definitely busy! Twice the wrong food was brought to our table. Our cocktails were overly sweet. We highly recommend Libertad.

Libertad is among our favorite places to dine when ordering off the menu and sitting on the patio during the summer or inside during winter, so it was very disappointing to have such a bad experience with The Argentinian wine and food experience. Specifically, the beef in the main course was as tough as leather, and my wife and I both chose not to attempt to eat it (for fear of choking). Also, the beef tartar course was flavorless and the beef tartar didn't pair well with the crispy bread it was served on. Additionally, the jury rigged system for heating the outside patio was a distraction for all diners and did a very uneven job of keeping the temperature consistent in the outdoor enclosed space not to mention the noise created when the blower motor turned on. The staff kept having to reach under the table of the couple seated right next to us or behind their heads to adjust the heating. All of this created a setting not at all suited for outdoor dining at $120/head. We did like the host of the event and the job he did presenting the wines, and the servers were good and offered more wine several times which was appreciated. Overall, we would not consider attending a future special dining experience at Libertad and even would have second thoughts about coming back for a regular meal off of the menu.

My friend and I started with the Chipotle hummus with the house made chapati. Delicious! Great consistency and lots of flavors. For cocktails, we ordered the La Gran Guerra. Smoky and sweet. Our mains were the Risotto, the Camarones (shrimp) and Pulpo (octopus). Everything is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The risotto was creamy and tender. The shrimp had a little zing and a little heat. The pulpo was tender, not chewy. Grilled to perfection. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was a perfect ending. The caramel sauce goes so well with the bread pudding, horchata ice cream and plantains. Our server was excellent. She was so nice and kept checking in on us even when it got a little busy in the restaurant. Definitely one of my best meals.

Food was so delicious and rich. I especially liked the crab cake. Of the options we had, the food had the right amount of flavorful spice/heat without losing the flavor. Our waitress Christina was so professional, kind, and knew the menu very well. She helped me pick some options without dairy. We will definitely be
