Have gone several times and the food and drinks are amazing! Would definitely recommend the California crunch or the caterpillar.

The owner and staff were all very friendly. They treated each guest as if they were a good friend. Great food that looked and tasted good and also came out fairly quickly. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef gave us an extra snack that was great. Would definitely come here again.

Love this place. Smallish in size but more than makes up for it in style. Staff is warm friendly and food is great! Back it up with a good pour from the bar and you have a great combination!

Great generous Japanese food. Smallish space with wooden floor that can be noisy when crowded. Understaffed but efficient waitress.

Don't order a margarita. It was just like weak lime water. Sushi was normal (I was expecting a lot because there are a lot of good reviews here). There were old food stains on the menu. Service was not great. Probably won't go back.

Makisu offers very tasty sushi at a very fair price - great qpr here! Highly recommended trying them out if you haven't already.

My wife and I had Valentine's lunch and it was excellent. Very unexpected portion sizes for a chef selection lunch special and staff was very attentive. We will be back

Worst customer service by Oka, had a hard time ordering and when I came to pick up they had the order wrong. I had to wait for them to remake my order. She was extremely rude and swore at an employee. Frustrated lady and not pleasant at all. Never coming back!

Amazing sushi and the people there could not be nicer!!If you're looking for a fantastic Sushi location in the Northern 'burbs I would HIGHLY recommend Makisu. I know they also do catering so I will have to try that out soon, however, great and remarkable staff. Only thing they need is a bigger space again so more people can eat in-house. Thanks again for always making delicious sushi.

My 2nd time here. Great place for quick and dinner by myself! Ordered the chef mix (my version of the omekaze I suppose) and always a small carafe of hot sake.

went late Monday, it was so beautiful inside, relaxing.the food was AMAZING. i don't like sushi, but I tried the Super White Tuna, and omg ?❤️ the Steak bowl was so good too, a perfect medium rare. i'm definitely going to keep coming back. a little expensive but worth it for the amazing quality.
