Roka Akor - Old Orchard

Food was amazing but their cocktails are extremely overpriced. My 40 bourbon was $40 for a 2oz pour for Eagle Rare that's $45 retail for the bottle. I wasn't aware (I know I should've asked) how much it was. Ended up being a $200 bar tab for me and my friend. Crazy! They said it was hard to find and that justified the premium. I've never seen it that high anywhere before.

Food was delicious. Robin was our server and he was great! My friend and I sat outside and had a wonderful time catching up.

It was my son's birthday celebration so I came to town to visit him. He enjoys dining and since visiting Japan several months ago, we thought it would be nice to dine at Roka. Everyone was attentive and kind. The food was exceptional. Will dine again whenever I'm in town again.

Miguel was an excellent server. He explained the menu. The food was delicious. I will definitely come back.

We brought wine for a friend's birthday and agreed to pay corkage. After 15 minutes of being seated, and not being attended to, the waiter finally came to our table, tried to open the wine and broke the cork. He then left. We had a cork screw with us and gently removed the remainder of the cork so that debris didn't fall into the bottle. He came back with a strainer/decanter, which we opted not to use. He poured us one glass of wine and then was gone for a while. Food came out quickly after ordered, but again he neglected to return to our table, until we brought another bottle out. I told him I would rather open it, so I did. We were charged $60 corkage fee for opening our own bottles and being neglected. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. 

We really enjoyed our dinner and anniversary celebration at Roka Akor. The food is always predictably good, and we can always find something special on the menu. The dishes were fresh, elegantly prepared and presented, and for a shopping mall restaurant, the best in the area. We went early because we went to see a movie, and there was quite a crowd already, with a busy evening anticipated.

Really enjoyed the mushroom& rice pot; hadn't had that before but will again. Korean lamb chops and scallops always great. Server was in training and performed well. Dessert ube ice cream was a nice change from standard flavors found at other restaurants

Quality ingredients from appetizers to entrees. The chef at Old Orchard is superb. The diver scallops and salmon were perfectly cooked and the steak was cooked as requested. My criteria is fish because it can go from excellent to overcooked in a flash. Never had a bad meal here. The sides of Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes and broccolini were great also. Desserts nothing to write home about. Recommend.

All the staff here are great, they go above and beyond and are very accommodating! We've been serviced by Dana many times and always have an amazing experience! Food is delicious!

One of our favorite places to celebrate an occasion. The food is delicious and the service attentive. Can't go wrong

pros: excellent, attentive, service by our server and the manager. tempura veggies and spicy tuna/crispy rice apps very good - sashimi was ordinary. ribs and cod entrees good - presentation was unique. ny strip ordered was overdone - manager was helpful and removed from our bill. cons: dining room noise was high. parking at old orchard, especially in this part of the mall, is very full. overall: a good choice for casual dining at old orchard. try parking on the other side of the mall and walk through from macy's to the restaurant (there are a lot of handicap spots available if needed).

Awesome food, portions a little small but reasonable price, service was good. Their nigiri and maki were absolutely amazing

Another wonderful meal with great, attentive service. The sushi is always the highlight for me at Roka Akor.
