Roka Akor - Old Orchard

Enjoyed a very nice dinner at Roka Akor. Our meals were delicious although the servings seem small relative to their cost. Service was very good, they are very attentive.

We have always liked Roka Akor a lot. However, this last experience was awful. We ordered a ribeye steak and it was completely inedible. It was tough and very fatty.

Our waiter was outstanding as he offered recommendations for pairing foods together and advising on using the lime to bring out the taste of the pork ribs

We enjoyed our meal. The appetizers and rolls were excellent. Steak was good. Wait staff was picking up empty plates while some in our party were still eating. Then when we mentioned that the waitstaff said they do not speak English. That was disappointing but other than that all was good.

My boyfriend and I had come here for our anniversary. I remember being here many years ago and I really enjoyed the food. I wanted to come here to be able to celebrate such a special occasion. I was not disappointed, this has to be one of the best dinners I've had in a very long time. The service was absolutely great, and we had one of the best servers as well as the rest of the staff. They were very kind and they made this day very special for us. Would definitely come back again.

I honestly don't like this location. I like the Oak Brook location. Their drinks are not the same.

Excellent food, excellent value. We've been there three times and this is our new local favorite.

We had a delicious dinner prior to going to a show at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts. We booked a reservation through OpenTable but the restaurant didn't have it when we arrived. We got a table and ordered and shared a Beet Salad that was a nice large portion, perfectly dressed, and totally yummy. We then had the lamb chops and an order of tempura vegetables. The lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the dipping sauce was addictive. Absolutely delicious. The veggies were well prepared and quickly disappeared. We will be back. Soon.

As usual great food an great service. Server always greets us and recognizes even though we don't get down to that area as we have in the pasta she have moved further north.

It was a perfect dinner and drinks were amazing. The Besutiful Girl drink was my new go to. Rib eye and miso glazed fish were cooked to perfection. Everything we ordered we loved. I choose to come here for my birthday dinner with friends and will continue to do so. So should you! It is that good. And not in the city!

Roka Akor is one of our favorite places to go. The service and food is always excellent We often go for lunch or dinner and tailor the selections to our appetite. Lunch is less expensive but just as good. Everything from just the simple beet salad (large enough to share) to steaks and sushi are great. We have even done the omakase which was great but too much food for us. Our favorite desert the Ube creme de fresh balances sweetness with creamy flavor.

Our meals at Roka Akor are consistently perfectly done. In an uncertain world, it's great to have something to count on!

First of all, a shout out to our server ZION (i think thats his name). Let me start with the arrival… I needed to UP the reszie by one so i came in while the fam shopped and the hostess was VERY accommodating. Then i got there early and had a martini at the bar and the bartender was fantastic. We sat down and had a great meal. After a long week, just wanted to share my experience. Thanks!!!

Food was amazing but their cocktails are extremely overpriced. My 40 bourbon was $40 for a 2oz pour for Eagle Rare that's $45 retail for the bottle. I wasn't aware (I know I should've asked) how much it was. Ended up being a $200 bar tab for me and my friend. Crazy! They said it was hard to find and that justified the premium. I've never seen it that high anywhere before.
