I typically enjoy Sketchbook’s brews, but a few hours after drinking 2 beers last night, my stomach really started to hurt. I went with a party where 3 out of the 5 people drinking felt sick the next day, after only drinking a single beer. I’m disappointed that I had this experience and don’t like leaving negative reviews for small businesses, but I wanted to point this out as a safety concern. It felt like food poisoning!

Decent beer, but can’t get over all the screaming obnoxious children. Felt like drinking at a pre-school or a playground. Don’t recommend unless you really enjoy other people’s kids.

Staff are great. Beer is decent. Nice, large beer garden in front (Skokie Swift’s go by every 10 minutes with 1 or 2 people - I digress). I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the “Chuckie Cheese” atmosphere. This refers to the large number of kids running around with really nothing to do other than trample the landscaping and run about under foot. FOMO is not a valid reason to subject everyone to your little darlings who are learning that drinking and driving are OK. Who’s driving the kiddies home? Hopefully not the parents. When you have kids, your life changes in many ways. One of them is, you can’t party with your friends like you used to do. It was your choice - be an adult about it!

First time here - what a great place! Huge indoor space with lots of different types of seating. Huge outdoor patio that is dog friendly.
We tried several beers and can't wait to come back.
Note on food - not sure if they're here all the time but they had a cute food truck that served smash burgers. We didn't get anything but it looked popular.

Great place to stop in and have a drink. The outdoor seating area is great, with the Skokie Swift real close for child-enjoyment. The parking lot is big, and it does get full fast, so look for parking on Main or Niles Center. The menu of draft beers is very expansive, with a small selection of soft drinks. Do make sure to ask about the latter though, as they have no soft drink menu. Although Sketchbook does not have any food items on their menu, they often have food trucks parked outside for food in addition to their drinks. I would totally come back here, and I also love the fact that they don’t mind if you bring your own food, have a drink and enjoy the outdoor space.

Great beer selection. Really enjoyed the barrel aged stout in the summer. Yeah, that's right I drink stouts in the summer. Service was quick and friendly. Outdoor area made for a nice summer night. It's a drive for us but we will be back!

Great selection of craft beers in a large setting with big and small tables inside and in a beautiful outdoor yard. A bit noisy when the train goes by, but the beer and atmosphere makes up for it. Inside is a separate window for coffee orders. Certainly a great addition for Skokie. No wine or hard spirits.

Great beer, great patio, awesome interior and live music. There’s usually a food truck in the parking lot that has great Mexican food and a burger. This was a nice pit stop on the Skokie Valley Bike Trail.

Nice Brewery near the train tracks, with indoor bar and seating. There is a patio area with plenty of space and is also dog-friendly. They serve beer and some apps. You order from the bar and can start a tab, and take your drinks to where you want to be seated.
