I haven't tasted any food in my travels as memorable and delicious as Hassan's restaurant! Best in Chicagoland,-believe me!My boyfriend and I ordered the Lamb special and we like to order hummus and the yummy warm bread. A cozy date and our hostess/waitress was attentive and very kind! A really charming restaurant.

Very authentic Mediterranean food with an Iraqi influence. I went with my friend from Iraq and he knew exactly what to order. (We ordered a lot so he could show me the menu) The ground beef kabobs were perfectly prepared and delicious. The beef shawarma was nicely charred and very good. I'm not a big fan of Baba Ghannoush but this one was very good. The hummus was fantastic too. I've had better falafel though. I would not have typically ordered okra soup but I'm pleased my friend ordered it. It was amazing. I'd pass on the white bean soup though. The server was from Iraq and the place is small but if you want authentic cuisine, this is your place!

Some of the best Iraqi Style Beef Shawarma in the Area. Its a very community focused business. Quiet in there, every time I've stopped by. I have also tried their Beef Kafta/Kefta sandwiches. The Kafta itself was on point. Going earlier in the day is always better for sandwiches, as the bread is fresher. Iraqi style Beef shawarma tends to be a bit more saltier than the Lebanese, Syrian etc. style, so keep that in mind.Every time I am in Skokie, I try to get at least one Sandwich from here. But earlier in the day, no later than 3-4pm.Definitely worth a shot.

Overall great restaurant, food and service! Happy there was private space upstairs for our group but it was loud, narrow, and warm

Their golden pompano (performed) is the most delicious grilled fish in all of Chicagoland - plus it comes with their own tasty bread, hummus, and salad- I order it whenever I'm nearby and prefer it over any steakhouse or fish place I have tried in my 44 years

I just had an amazing experience with one of my friends that I was visiting while in Chicago eating at this fine establishment. The lamb was soft and well prepared. There is virtually no gamey taste whatsoever which is rare. Highly recommend.
