Delicious food, rich in Middle Eastern flavors. The chicken curry was so delicious I would have ordered another one. and the wait was relatively short.

Taboun Grill delivers a flavorful and reliably enjoyable dining experience, blending warm hospitality with dishes that highlight the best of Middle Eastern cooking. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed, making it an easy place to settle in for a satisfying meal. Staff members are friendly and efficient, keeping the service smooth even during busy times.
The food stands out with fresh ingredients and well-balanced seasoning—whether it’s the tender, juicy kebabs, the creamy hummus, or the perfectly baked pita that arrives warm and fragrant. Portions are generous, and most dishes hit the mark with both flavor and presentation. While a few items could benefit from just a bit more refinement to reach that perfect five-star level, Taboun Grill remains a consistently strong choice and a spot you’ll happily return to for bold, comforting Middle Eastern favorites.
Great service, great food, and a great vibe. Always have a good time there. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and owned and run by the family who used to run the kitchen in my Yeshiva when I was growing up. You have to go. Get the shawarma or falafel. So good. They also grill great steaks and lamb chops. Hummus is the best in the city.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The service is terrible. One of the waitresses was giving me nasty looks due to my clothing. I asked for an original style shawerma and they had no idea how to make it. It is not the traditional style of shawerma that I find in Arab restaurants. The garlic sauce is terrible, the bread is not authentic. These people do not know how to make falafel or shawerma. It is almost like they stole someone else’s recipe and tried to replicate it and failed. Oh wait…

The food is always good and the atmosphere is so inviting and comforting.
Everything down to the lighting and the details with the food make this place feel like a home away from home.
You can’t go wrong with the Schwarma and hummus.

There’s a big sign on the window that says Lunch Special 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.” We went in there at 1:50 p.m. today and were told, “We close in 10 minutes.”

Amazing culture, service, food, and especially owner! The pita bread and hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. There is beautiful art along the walls to admire while you eat and there is a warm and welcoming feeling of culture you feel while dining. The owner Anat is very sweet and welcomed us with open arms. Can’t wait to eat here again. Thank you!
