Tempura battered Brussels sprouts were pretty good - light crispy exterior with light batter and interior was cooked but not mushy
Hibachi salmon x 2 - carefully plated but lacking the usual shredded cabbage, maki, small salad or miso soup that completes bento boxes, especially given the price point of $19. Even for lunch this was a bit bare. The flavors were ok, a tad salty but the broccoli 🥦 balanced it out a bit.
Special roll was served on foil 🤨 , sushi rice was not quite right , but the fish had plenty of sauce and toppings so hard to tell the quality.
Overall, not the usually Japanese set but not bad.

Authentic Japanese food... very delicious! The Takoyaki is so tasty. Tonkotsu is savory. Great service and friendly customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are near Chicago or Great Lakes. Try their Fusion Salmon appetizer, too.

Fresh sushi! This restaurant took over the previous Makisu sushi location.
Much smaller in size, but the interior still has a great cozy feel. Sushi rolls were delicious. They have an automated ordering system where you order off of a tablet and items are brought to the table. Service was quick. Waitstaff are friendly. Plenty of parking.

Made the drive out here since the website said open but when my friends and I arrived it was closed. So misleading, please stop closing before the time posted on google. It’s not fair for people who come because it says “open”.

Came here for lunch with 4 others. It is a la-cart menu with plenty of options. We got the premium tonkotsu ramen, spicy tonkotsu ramen, takoyaki, and some sushi maki rolls. Food tasted flavourful with big portions and decent prices.

The food was delicious! Large portions and very authentic flavors. I ordered the salmon and avocado maki roll with miso soup. The restaurant also had some Korean side dishes much to my surprise and I also ordered some kimchi which was spectacular. Service could have been a bit more attentive, but understandable since it was very busy with lots of to go orders. Will definitely be back!
