My favorite place for breakfast in Skokie

Excellent food, omelets, crepes, sandwiches and pastries. Expresso & Coffee are perfect and their blends of unique fresh leaf tea is outstanding.

Is a good place to hangout plus the food is amazing ?

Truly a hidden gem in Skokie. Great coffee, excellent collection of loose leaf teas, diverse food menu with something for everyone and in house baked goods. Apple cake and spinach burek are incredible. What sets this place apart from the rest is that it's more than a cafe/coffee shop. You're treated like family and it's a welcoming spot to sit and talk while the world rushes past outside. If you're looking for your caffeine fix ASAP with a condescending attitude and a quick grab of your money then go to Starbucks, but if you want a delightful experience that will keep you coming back for more then visit this establishment.

I love this spot! I have met many interesting people here. It's kind of an old school spot with actual conversations and less screen zombies. They serve very decent food and with the owners originally from turkey and Poland and their bakers from Iran they tend to put out interesting daily specials, soups and deserts. John makes a killer cappuccino. The German apple cake is to die for. Live music happens on the weekends with bluegrass, jazz and more and they have tango classes on Friday night. It's nice to have meeting spots that are welcoming. Support these guys

Burnt eggs. Disgusting staff.

Yelp O.

Terrible food. Disgusting staff (order taker clearly had not showered). Only two tables were occupied, but family of three were busy in kitchen having an argument. Very, very slow service. First omelette arrived burnt. My eggs arrived 10 minutes later and they 'forgot' to toast the muffin. Cook/mom came out to argue about dark brown, leather-like eggs! YUUUCK!

I really hate to rag on local business, but boy was this bad. I asked about the $5 special on the board outside and the guy said "Oh, you're five minutes late. It's only 8-10" Okay, whatever. I ordered a $9 "Belgian waffle with fruit" and I tried to save them the credit card fees by using cash, but they had NO change. My "Belgian waffle" came out and it was four eggos and a sliced banana. For $9. Come on, guys. If you can't make a waffle, don't put it on the menu.

Coffee shop that took me back 100 years to my college days. Live music on Sundays. Frankly, my coffee is better, but I'm a coffee freak who roasts his own beans. It's the ambiance and vibe of a coffee shop that's is the real appeal. They serve light fare here as well, sandwiches, pastries, some salads. Thumbs up!

Super cute neighborhood gem!! I love this place. Came here for a coffee date with my mom and son on a Saturday afternoon. It tucked away in downtown Skokie with plenty of street parking available. I ordered a cappuccino and my mom ordered a latte. We also ordered a pumpkin cheesecake to share. The coffee was great but I wasn't impressed by the cheesecake- like it was good but I didn't like the whipped cream on top. Anyways, this place is a great place to come to if you need peace and quiet and some time to think. It's very quiet, it's personable and it's a place you can go to to focus and have some peace of mind. My mom and I chatted while my son slept but the atmosphere relaxed us. It's also a very instagramable place. Highly recommend checking it out!
