⸻ We came to Hampton Social to celebrate my mother's 63rd birthday. In the past, we've really enjoyed the little touches that made birthdays feel special here like a complimentary rosé shots or dessert. It helped set the tone for a celebratory experience and made us consider this a go-to spot for special occasions. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown. Despite spending $350 and making it known to both the host stand and our server that it was a birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgment at all. Service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy during lunch. Our server checked in rarely and didn't seem engaged. To top it off, we were charged a mandatory service fee even though our party was only four people. It left us feeling disappointed and overlooked on what should have been a special day.
The wait to get our food was 1 hour plus after getting 1 appetizer. I wouldn't have cared if it was busy. But the place was empty. The lobster was MKT price which was not worth the cost, it was gummy and chips were stale. The waiter was very kind but overall not worth it and can't see myself going back. Not a good experience and value is not there.
Caesars salad was at best OK. Sausage pizza was horrible. Greasy. Chewy. Tasted like a teenager's attempt at cooking.
We were nicely welcomed and shown to our table. We shared two appetizers which was the perfect amount for us. I also enjoyed a nice glass of red wine. Service was great! It became very noisy as it filled up.
We sat outside on a beautiful night. Server was delightful and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
Very overpriced for food quality and service. Salad was soggy. Service was terrible. Waiter didn't know menu, check on us-had to ASK for help.
The salad was very salty as if someone over sprinkled salt on it. I told the waitress to tell the chef that the salad was very salty. They did not apologize or replace it with a good salad. Ruined my evening.
Fish from fish and chips not crispy. Math did not add up on receipt. Server too attentive.
Our server Dave L was fantastic. We were on a time crunch and told him we needed to be quick to get back to our meeting. We were a group of 9, but he was very efficient and made sure that our service was amazing while getting us out of there in a timely manner. He was even kind enough to take a picture of us for the group.
Such a great restaurant and GREAT SERVICE. My daughter and 9 of her friends celebrated her team bonding event there. The waitress was so great with the girls! She was patient, provided separate checks, and helpful for the teens trying to navigate their own dining experience! My daughter had a wonderful time.

We were dining with our friends, total 6 people. At 5 pm on Sunday. Restaurant just about empty. After being seated we had to wait for long time for anybody to bring us water or acknowledge our presents. We ordered appetizers, salads and main courses. Half of our group received their appetizers and salads timely. The other half received appetizer, salad and main course all at the same time!!!! Salmon was overcooked, grilled vegetables were cooked to death black. Realy???? Manager was very sweet and did her best to calm the waters and remedy the situation the best she could. Ambiance- large cafeteria. Prices- expensive. At the Front Desk there is a Sign stating that they are adding 18% to your bill to assure that Staff earns FAIR wages. WHY ARE THEY NOT PAYING FAIR WAGES??? Overall- NO, we are not coming back.
Unfortunately the experience wasn't good...they initially tried to sit us at a table by server's station which is totally distracting to have waitstaff constantly walking back and forth! I felt like a 2nd class citizen anad asked to be seated outside. It took awhile to even be served water, napkins, silverware and menus. The kitchen was backed up, they forgot the dressing for salad which took forever to get. Atleast the staff tried their best to make of a otherwise comedy of errors. I also don't like 'pre-fixed' 18 % gratuity as I would have tipped much less given the circumstances. They also FULL-WELL KNEW it was my son's 30th birthday and did NOTHING to accomodate this!! They wanted to seat me a a 2nd class table though!! Shame on Hampton Social!
Why does the restaurant add an 18% charge to the check? I usually leave a 20% tip on the ENTIRE bill total. This time, my lunch companion and I did what was requested and left only 18% as requested.
Food was average. Service was phenomenal. Pizza was watery, paper thin, although edible. The burger was bland and bun burnt . Salmon was room temp and bland. We've had better experiences in the past at Hampton. The lobster roll in the past was delish. Expresso martini is a treat too. Kind of felt like a meal worth half the price today. Again, from the hostess to our server, they do make you feel welcome. Only wish the food matched the level of service today.
There was an automatic 18% gratuity fee added to our check and then we were given the option to add an additional % to the final tip. We have never seen this before, and if we hadn't noticed that, we would have tipped out typical 20%. The servers or staff should really inform the customer of this automatic gratuity charge, as dining out and groceries has become so expensive lately.
