they make bread to sell to stores , but buying from then directly is out of this world, best bread in chicago, and i tried many custom bakeries, the store is simple as its not made to sell to customers directly, that's how you know its good , they don't need fancy

The best bread in the area! Highly recommend to try their poppy seed cake and 7 grain bread!

Bread is very high quality and made with only natural ingredients. Cheaper to buy from then than at Skokie grocery stores. Bring cash. Don’t expect a nice store, but you can expect friendly service!!! My parents buy bread here every time they visit us from Wisconsin. They deserve your service!

Great bakery, but... Is Val's out of business?!? I've tried calling all day and a recording says the number has been disconnected :-(

I frequent this place and they are friendly, fast and professional. They keep the place clean and have a good variety of cookies, cakes and bread. The regular sandwiches are good.

Seven grain is my favorite. Bread that has actually has flavor. Val- Be sure to keep it in stock at Oakton Market!
Saw this bread at my local Piggly Wiggly (Butera) in Grayslake. Picked up a loaf of Seven Grains. It is very good, and I look forward to trying their other varieties. Try it toasted, some of the best toast I have had!

My husband brought me home a SEVEN GRAINS BREAD, we love its flavor texture and it combines very well with sweet or savory. Since then we have consumed it very often. I recommend it

Hole in the wall Eastern European bakery! The owner speaks Russian and pumps out some of the freshest bread one could ever desire. Definitely snag the Russian Rye and one of their delicious strudels.
