I really like this place! I’m a professor at Oakton College and stopped here a couple of years ago. There are many options on the corner and when I had a class in Skokie again I drive by and decided to see if it was as good as I had remembered. It’s not. It’s better than I remembered!
It is now the stop I visit on my way home from class at night. Their hours are great for that and their place looks fantastic! I get mine to go so I can’t speak on the service but the tacos are PACKED with meat and are delicious! My favorite is the chicken. The fish is okay… the beef is great. I like it. I recommend it. The price is right. Enjoy!

Randomly snugged up to a very busy car wash, this hidden gem is legit. Their salsa is fire, the fajitas are tasty and not slathered in grease like too many other Mexican joints, and their mole is some of the most uniquely flavorful I’ve had in a long time. The service was friendly and the overall experience was excellent. Go check it out.

The place is cute, and they do a nice job tying the patio and the inside of the restaurant together. The wait staff was cleaning up, and welcomed us when we came into the restaurant. We enjoyed the chips and salsa, shrimp fajitas, and chicken in mole. Everything was fresh, and the portions were large. Mine was just lukewarm, and it made a difference. We'll try it again🙂

the queso was just nacho cheese, the beans canned and reheated, the chips were stale and hard, and my partner’s concrete seat came off the metal stand and they fell onto the ground. the staff didn’t say much to us, but were telling each other about the seat falling off in spanish.

We finally decided to try Verde Avocado for dinner tonight and we were so pleased! We placed a takeout order inside and were immediately greeted by friendly faces. Our order was made fresh within 10-15 minutes and was exactly correct. Everything was delicious. The meat in our tacos and burritos was tender, had great flavor, and they were filled to the brim. The guacamole was so fresh. The salsas they gave us were a nice surprise and very good. Great quality food and portions for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

Honestly the best Mexican you can get in the area! I greatly appreciate the quality of the asada used for the tacos~ lean w/no fat (I’m extremely picky with meat.) I am looking forward to trying their margaritas soon! Staff is always friendly as well :-)

I love Verde Avocado! The food is excellent. I have a spot in the city, but Verde Avocado is able to keep me from driving into the city with the excellent food (especially the Pastor), and the service.
