“Excellent food, was here for the first time. Had to taste everything: Italian sub, Sicilian pizza, cream of celery soup, and chopped salad. Everything was excellent. Can’t wait to go back and try more. The Sicilian pizza had a light crust and delicious sauce with sausage and roasted peppers, Yum! Very clean and friendly staff too.“

“Rosario’s is one of those local spots that just never disappoints. We started with the arancini, which were so good; crispy, flavorful, and honestly, I just wish there had been more of them.

For drinks, I had a glass of wine while my partner ordered the smoked Manhattan, which was such a fun experience with the smoker presentation. It tasted very similar to an Old Fashioned, but still really enjoyable.

For dinner, I ordered the mostaccioli with arrabbiata sauce (and I love that they actually call it mostaccioli instead of penne). The sauce had a great kick to it and was packed with flavor; definitely a standout. My partner got the chicken piccata, which was also really well done.

We also couldn’t leave without ordering a small Chicago stuffed sausage pizza. We’ve been here before just for this, and it’s consistently incredible. As people who have literally done a Chicago pizza tour twice, we both agree this pizza holds its own against some of the most well-known spots. The cheese is rich, the sauce has a nice spice, and everything just works.

On top of all that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. We absolutely love having a place like this in the neighborhood.“

The food was delicious and probably one of the best perks was that the Italian beef was given to us hot instead of in cold packs like some of the bigger chains do. “This restaurant is my favorite go to when i visit Chicago. I live in Yorktown Virginia but i was born and raised in the west side of Chicago. For the past 5 years i have been going to Rocco Vinos because the food is great , the service was wonderful, and the price was good. As A result , I have been able to transport many pizzas back to Virginia. I will be clear , Virginia is not known for their pizza. Tino Mola , the manager , has helped me by preparing pizzas for me to be able to transport by car back to Virginia. My friends are overwhelmed by these great pizzas I bring back. They always want to know when I'm coming back and ask me to get them more. We have an Uno's pizza here but that's not a good representation of Chicago food. I will drive to Chicago before going to Uno's. And when I do , I'm going to see my friends at Rocco Vino's.“

“i recently had a disappointing experience at a restaurant that I felt compelled to share. I went there for dinner with my fiancée, mother, and our two young kids, ages 3 and 1. Initially, the dinner was fantastic; we were enjoying our time together and the food was great. However, after about an hour and 20 minutes, we were abruptly told we had to leave because of other reservations. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I still had my drink left, and we had just paid our tab As we were leaving, we encountered a manager and inquired about the situation. To our shock, she responded by asking if we knew how to read English, which felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. I pulled up my reservation online and nowhere does it say there was a time limit. To make matters worse, as we walked through the bar to exit, she followed my mother and physically shoved her three times. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any establishment, and it left a sour taste in what could have been a lovely evening. We called the cops to make a report as the manager "lucy" (she told me this was her name) should never be able to touch a customer. Especially since we were not refusing to leave AND my kids were there to witness it all. In the car my son kept asking why the lady pushed my mom . This shouldn't be something I need to answer as it never should have happened. She tried telling the cops she did not have the "intent" to hurt but to get us out . Yet we were not even refusing to leave...only letting her know it was rude as we still had stuff that was unfinished that we paid for. I understand that restaurants have to manage reservations, but there are respectful ways to handle these situations. Additionally, she left it up to the waiter to tell us we had to leave . I won't be returning, and I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision. And please , if you were in the bar / restaurant when this all happened , speak up on how wrong it was of her to push someone like that.“

“I think Buona is great because every time I go there, the food and service never disappoint me. The employees are always friendly and efficient, which makes me feel welcomed and taken care of. I really enjoy the food because it’s flavorful, fresh, and consistently well prepared, especially the Italian beef, which is one of my favorites. “Main dish was good. Salad dressing needed some oil as the consistency just dripped as if no oil was added. The dressing puddled on the bottom of the bowl and did not dress the salad. The iced tea tasted like it was made from concentrate. This may seem a little nit picking but at their price point I feel the critique is reasonable.“

There is a lot of parking but still hard to find a spot as this location is very busy. Need to make reservations on the weekend if you want to eat in.“
