“Our wedding was on 8/18/2023 and we are still so happy from the perfect day. From the minute we started our tour at Pinstripes with Shannon Schurr, my husband and I knew Pinstripes was going to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. We toured a few other venues, but Pinstripes was perfect. Shannon was so responsive and answered all of our questions along the way. The food tasting was lovely as well and it was a great chance to try all the food and feel confident at our choices. From the tour to the tasting to the reception, everything was seamless and magical. All of our guests absolutely raved about the reception venue and all the wedding guests mentioned it was the most fun wedding reception they have ever been at. The food and drink options were fantastic! We had bowling during our cocktail hour (with socks and bowling shoes included for all guests) and bocci courts open after dinner, which was a huge hit. We reserved the all-seasons outside space, which was well worth the little additional money, and the firepits and decorations (including the flowered backdrop) were a big hit and we didn’t even need to buy any decorations because it was set up so beautifully. The service was excellent throughout the whole night and the linens turned out prettier than we could have pictured! There was also a cool stand for the cake to be displayed while we were cutting it. Many of our guests now frequent for bowling and dinner at Pinstripes and my husband and I do the same.”

Not only were the items beautifully decorated, but they were also incredibly moist and delicious—our guests couldn’t stop raving about them. She was kind and welcoming without being overbearing and asked if we were celebrating any event. It was my birthday yesterday and she made a special trip to bring us the cutest table sprinkle decorations and wish me well!! Our server was also a delight, Karen, she was very professional and warm. It's been a long time since we were at a restaurant where the server seemed to truly enjoy delivering a wonderful experience to her guests. We have been to Ruth's many times at many locations so we ordered right away but Karen assured us she would monitor the pace of the meal and it was perfect. I recently hosted a birthday celebration at Medieval Times Schaumburg, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to another world—a medieval kingdom filled with knights, royalty, and excitement. This was the perfect venue for a group birthday celebration, and here’s why:

Immersive Experience

The atmosphere at Medieval Times is truly immersive. The castle entrance, the banners, the sounds of trumpets—it all makes you feel like you’re stepping into a living, breathing medieval story. We were greeted by the knights and staff as we entered, setting the stage for an epic evening. Even the décor and costumes added to the authenticity, making it easy to forget you were in suburban Schaumburg and not in a faraway kingdom.

Amazing Group Dining

The four-course feast was one of the highlights of the night! It’s served without silverware (a fun, authentic touch) and features hearty, delicious dishes like roast chicken, BBQ ribs, potato wedges, and corn on the cob. The food was fantastic and more than enough to satisfy even the biggest appetites. Everyone at our table had a great time sharing the experience, laughing, and enjoying the meal together.

It was especially fun to dig into our meal while watching the action unfold right in front of us. Everyone was so engaged, cheering on our knight (we were on the Red team!) and getting caught up in the excitement of the jousting and sword fighting. The food was served promptly, and there was plenty of time to savor it while soaking in the show.

The show itself is a thrilling combination of jousting, sword fights, and medieval drama. Our group was on the edge of our seats the entire time—cheering, gasping, and even groaning at the tense moments. It’s a high-energy, action-packed performance that’s perfect for a group to enjoy together, especially if you’re looking to get involved. The knights really put on a show, and you could feel the competition in the air.

What made it even better was that the birthday guest of honor was recognized during the show, and they even received a birthday shout-out from the queen and the knights! It was such a fun touch that made the birthday celebration feel extra special. They also received a crown, which was a great keepsake and photo op.

Exceptional Service

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. They were friendly, attentive, and really made us feel like we were part of the medieval court. They even brought out a special birthday dessert (apple pie) to the guest of honor, complete with a small celebration. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” which made the moment feel even more magical. The entire staff was incredibly professional and made the night run smoothly, which was especially important for a large group.

One of the best things about Medieval Times is how it caters to all ages. We had kids, teens, and adults in our group, and everyone had a fantastic time. The show is exciting and easy to follow, with enough action and drama to keep even the most easily distracted entertained. Whether you’re young or old, the experience is one that brings people together.

After the show, we had the opportunity to take photos with the knights and the princess, which was a great!

Our 11 month grandbaebae was happily acknowledged by all waitstaff though they were busily weaving thru the tables with their pizza pies and libations. They offered to take a picture of our group of 6 afterwards, as we were celebrating our son's birthday. On our return home, realizing an item wrapped in a napkin, was left behind and most likely tossed, I called and the owner (Jerry O.) offered to look thru the waste and by the time I returned to the restaurant, seeing him with a smile on his face, I knew he had found it !!
