We left very disappointed. The food came out cold and way too salty. Service was slow from the start—it took a long time just to get waters after sitting down—and while our waitress was nice, the overall service was just bad. We specifically came on a Thursday night for the live mariachi band that was advertised from 6–9pm on their website, but there was no music at all. We won't be back and definitely do not recommend it. If you're solely looking for drinks & guac this may work for you.
Great Mexican restaurant. Quality food and good service. Prices are moderate. I have been here several times over the years.
We have dined at this restaurant a number of times and it has always been a great experience with delicious food.
Mago is an excellent place to go for high quality Mexican food and excellent service. We are there at least once a month.
Our 5th time here and always the best, cocktails, service and food are superb. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant!
The food was really salty. It was hard to enjoy a special occasion because the food was just not good. Service was nice but it did not make up for the poor food.
We have eaten at Mago many times over the course of the past 7ish years and it feels like a steady decline is happening at this location. We had a 7:30 pm reservation, waited for our table about 15 minutes. Between the time we were seated and finally got our beverages almost 45 minutes passed. We received the tableside guac we had ordered, but we're given no chips nor the salsa that goes with it. That was an incremental ask together with the water. Drink reorders took a really long time. They ran out of certain tequilas and the server who was waiting on us had no idea about tequilas; apparently could not tell a blanco from a reposado. The entrees were very meh and just overall the experience was disappointing. Likely our last time there.
Unfortunately not as good as usual. Slow service and food was so so. Hoping for a better experience next time!
Cocktails and food very good as usual. Service was also good. Really loud though. There were several celebrating parties and loud children next to us. I realize that is outside of the restaurant's control and won't deter us from going back.
Server was very nice explained everything. Drinks and food came out quickly. Fairly priced. Have us samples of sauces. Sang happy birthday for my dad with a fun sparkler and gave him a sombrero. Would go again!

Super slow service. It took 30 minutes between greet in us with waters to coming back to take order. The food was meh... came out room temperature. My sons taco that was supposed to have fried potatoes on it had potato chips lol
Food was greasy, order my skirt steak medium and it was well done. My first experience was poor and I figured to give it another shot and it disappointed me . I'm done here.
We went to Margo's to celebrate a birthday. It's such a festive restaurant! We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The margaritas were very good and we also enjoyed the table side guacamole preparation. Lunch was delicious and we never felt rushed. As we were about to leave, our server presented the birthday boy with a sombrero and a large sparkler and the singing began!! We were also treated to a complimentary ice cream dessert. All in all, a nice afternoon at Margo's!!!
We've dined here many times. A potential rainstorm (that did not occur) forced us inside on 30 June 2025. The food was excellent at always, but the service was so slow as to be measured in geologic time. It seemed our server was assigned too many tables and compounding the already-increasing wait time was a kitchen behind schedule. We waited noticeably for everything after the guac at tableside. Drinks took an abnormally long time. Dinner was exceptionally slow in coming and the flan at the end was even more tardy. I am hopeful this was an abberation to the usual timely service at Mago where things typically run like clockwork. This meal took over two hours for nothing exceptional and our party was only five adults. Food was good. However, were this kind of slow service repeated, it would be off-putting enough to put Mago on our "B" list of dining.
Too expensive for what you get. Never again Going back to our favorites Food was lukewarm. Sat outside beautiful day Inside was blaring music.
