The food was delicious. I got confused when the waitress asked if we wanted an appetizer and we said no thank you. Later the Maitre D' thanked us for coming back and said sorry you didn't take the offer for a free appetizer. I said, oh, I didn't know it was free even. He then said, we'll give you a dessert of choice. When it was time for the dessert, which was supposed to come with our meal, the waitress said, no, you get an upgrade. I think that was a little off from what I heard. Regardless, the food we had was excellent!

We decided last minute to have dinner at Ruth Chris (South Barrington). The host was pleasant. Once seated we were greeted by the water person, some one who brought our bread and then Amanda our server. She was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We had some great conversations and throughly enjoyed our dinner. Ruth Chris does an amazing job with their steaks, sides, desserts and drinks. We've been to several locations all over the county and everything is always consistent. Amanda is a great addition to this location, can't wait to visit again and ask for her!

I regularly visit Ruth’s because of the friendly atmosphere and excellent food. They have a great Happy Hour Menu with one of the best burgers in town. The lamb chops and ribeye on the main menu are superb. Most of all, the bartenders are the reason that myself and many of the regulars keep returning. Tiffany and Mark have long been the faces of the bar. Their service is exemplary. They are always on point with their food and drink recommendations and are very attentive. They cultivate great relationships with the patrons, and are invaluable to the restaurant.Jim, the general manager, always comes around and greets patrons with a smile and handshake. Victor, a food runner, is so sweet and makes sure that you have everything that you need. Great food, atmosphere, and an incredible team!
Hannah was an exceptional server! She made our birthday celebration extra special! The filets and mashed potatoes were perfectly done and the wine was excellent. A great evening was had by all.

Well when you spend $550 for dinner with 4 people you normally expect a great experience but unfortunately that was not the case on this evening. Hostess was very good but it all went downhill from there. Our waiter constantly made us feel like he wanted to flip the table by pushing us to make our orders. I just kept telling him we are still looking. But, drink orders took longer than normal so not sure why he would have that problem. Then he made an error on the order and entered a bone in filet instead of the bone in strip. His solution was to either wait 20 minutes to have a new one prepared or he suggested to keep it and he would charge the lower of the two items. We were fine with just keeping the steak but I think the true fix was to remove the charge for that item all together. And to add insult his final solution was to give a free $10 desert which he sold to his boss that it was a birthday desert including the candle and happy birthday plate. For a high end restaurant this was not a good look. Not sure if I will be back. Sorry.

Beautiful restaurant! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the host. They were very professional and seated us quickly. Brian was our server. He knew the menu really well. He was very prompt and provided great service start to finish! I had a Blueberry Mojito and my husband had an old fashioned. The drinks were so good! My husband and I each had the ribeye and we shared the brussel sprouts and cheesy potatoes. My husband’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. My only complaint is that my steak was slightly overcooked but it was still delicious! The brussel sprouts and cheesy potatoes were excellent. Between the great service and the food and drinks we will definitely be back!

My husband and I dined here for our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived way before our reservation & they were so accommodating getting us our table early. The table had confetti decorations, the menu said Happy Anniversary & the dessert was beautifully decorated. Although our waitress, Courtney, had many tables she was taking care of, she made us feel like we were the only table she was waiting on. Not only did we feel special, the food was amazing. This is not just a steak place. I had the salmon w/ shrimp & my husband had the Sea Bass. We enjoyed both more than if we had a steak. And if you get the sweet potato casserole, you’re in for a treat. Overall, our experience was 10 stars.

My folks and I came here just recently for a nice dinner. The atmosphere in the food was really good overall.One issue we had was, my father had a steak that was really fatty.When we finished, the waitress took the extra step to let her manager know about how the steak was cooked in the end we got the price off that steak because it didn’t come out as well.So I did appreciate what our waitress did by taking that extra step. It made the experience better, even though it was perfect, we had a good dinner. We’ll definitely be coming back soon.
