I ordered two burgers medium rare and a avocado wrap and mozzarella logs the burgers were the most rare I have ever been served the mozzarella logs had no flavor in the breading and were overcooked the marinara was garbage and for 67$ I am not impressed at all and I will not be going back !!!

Is it wrong to love a restaurant mostly for the vibe?
Sure, I care about the food—we all do—but in this case, the atmosphere stole the show. What really made the night special wasn’t just what was on the plate, but what was in the air: live blues music that took me right back to my roots.
Being a true Chicagoan, I remember my first visit to Maxwell Street in the late '60s. Back then, the area was known as Jew Town—not in a derogatory way, but because many of the businesses there were owned by Jewish families. Little factories lined the streets, making socks and all sorts of goods. And, of course, that’s where the famous Maxwell Street Polish sandwich was born.
But what really stuck with me were the blues players. I remember seeing legends like Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, and Junior Wells, just playing on the street like it was the most natural thing in the world. It wasn’t unusual to see big names jamming with local talent. The music was electric—pure magic.
So when I recently found myself in Spring Grove and ended up at The Grove for a bite, it was more than just dinner—it was a little trip down memory lane. Great blues, cold drinks, and a laid-back vibe? Count me in. I’ll definitely be back for the music—and maybe a sandwich, too.
Being a Photographer I took these photos of the players.

Got a bacon BBQ burger with no bacon. Substituteed cooked onions for onion rings. The burger with onion rings was 16 bucks. They charged me 5 bucks to Substitute cooked onions with onion rings. Making my 16 dollar burger over 20 bucks. Don't forget the .50cents for the BBQ sauce that was supposed to come on it in the 1st place. Now the drinks, got 2 mojitos 1 was 2x the size as the other. Same price. Same amount of drink in it. Not worth 7 let alone 10 apc. Don't think I'll b going back for food.

Melissa greeted me @ the door with a smile. Great customer service and hustle from all sides. Will definitely be going back. Also, live blues on Sunday @ 2pm.

We were there on Father's Day. The staff was very friendly. The food was basically bar food. The sandwiches were good. They have smoke wings which were a little bit overcooked.

Food awful….ordered Fajitas…no Fajitas seasoning…onions and peppers salted in oil…Chicken not even sautéed asked cook 🤔🤔 he said all they had was steak seasoning…I asked how they called that Fajitas …$19…I wouldn’t serve to a dog….Rather go to Taco Bell…Asked to see Manager…they sent same guy out 😰😰😰

Not vegan friendly- 2 beyond burgers, one waffle fry, one side salad and no drinks take out. $47. Terrible Value!
Our Friday night go to every so often great place.
This place is in our top 3 local spots to eat. They are always welcoming when we walk in. Drink specials are interesting and good. Food is always excellent. We've come as a couple, with friends and with kids and grandkids, everyone likes it. Winner!
Usually have fun while we are there.
We order out from here often and love the food!
