If I could give 0 stars, I would! I ordered a pastry and an iced coffee. When I tried the pastry, it tasted old, and it was dry enough to be inedible. I brought it back to the shop in hopes of getting a refund. What followed was a very frustrating conversation with the clerk. I was asked if I really knew what shortbread was. The clerk stuck his finger in the middle of the pastry once, then took a piece off the corner ai nd mashed it between his finger and thumb. He then asked me if I wanted him to heat it up to taste better. The clerk acted outrageously inappropriately when I brought the stale pastry to his attention. He even told me to have a good stay in the hospital as I left. I obviously will never go back.

I cannot say enough about this place! They have awesome coffee, skilled barista's, and great customer service. The best thing about the shop is that all of the worker's there believe in what they do. They take the time out of the chaos to explain why they suggest what they do and make sure that the coffee, coffee beans, etc are right for what you want or need.

I visit the Bean Counter a few times a week. Everyone there is always great and their Bali is the best! It's the only coffee I drink. It's really nice to go to a local coffee shop that actually roasts their own beans. Great job guys!
i ate the quiche from this place and I got sick so sick from it that I called the health department. appearently it is not refridgerated wow really they dont refrigerate egg products, but i found out there is a cafe on the 4th floor same building and they have much better food and prices are so much lower than the bean counter so go there instead

I've been here a LOT lately with my MIL for various appointments. I am SO grateful that they have the Bean Counter at both the Spfld Clinic main locations! The staff are always friendly, the drinks delish, and the sammies are tasty. It's no more expensive than Star*#£~, and very convenient.
