Cook's Spice Rack & Chili

Been coming to Cook’s since I worked across the street at camp Lincoln years upon years ago. Went back today for the first time in several years. The quality, freshness, quick, and friendly service was EXACTLY how I remember. Their whole grain bread is to die for. I don’t get to this side of town as often as I used to, but it is absolutely worth stopping in. Definitely one of Springfield’s hidden gems!

It's that little family type place that I've been looking for. The atmosphere was pleasant with the people talking to each other from table to table. You can bet I'll be back for more!!!

I know my husband was trying to be sweet when he brought me lunch, but this isn't acceptable. This 1 piece of fish and fries was $10 as a lunch; he added fish at an extra cost; the fish sandwich is also $10. The fries were dry and I had to add sauce just to get them down. After driving the STL City SC, I was hungry, but disappointed. We've gotten fish on Fridays several times with several pieces of fish. I guess inflation and gas prices knocked off 1 piece. The fish even looked like tilapia instead of cat?.
