Nobody in there completely empty than two guys went in and I followed but dint know they was the staff. I guess you post to order after going down to the cashier/cook cuz the other guy left. I asked to eat there and then asked for a beer. The last time I ate there it was the bomb. Not crowded but more customers were there besides me. This time a guy came in after me and ordered 3 Chicago hot dogs with fries and 3 orders of wings. The cashier/cook then headed over to cook the nasty hard looking light brown looking meat covered with huge condiments which were picked off. Gone were the delicious onion straws and normal red juicy burger topped with the greasiest bun I ever had or seen and ima old person. I ended up taking that off as well and tried to just eat the meat with cheese but it was so nasty. I was glad for the short glass of flat beer and then ordered another fresh glass just to see if anything different but nope still flat tasteless beer. And all I got was two like Hardee's napkins to try and keep all that grease off my clothing!!!Two years ago this was my favorite place to go for a decent restaurant cheeseburger and a couple of beers. Now I realize no one eats there anymore but what's good, not the chilli and certainly not the cheeseburger with burnt fries that couldn't be camouflaged with even ketchup. Total for this disaster $20Ps the music put me to sleep in there what happened to the jukebox????

I am one of those people who never send food back or like to complain to the wait staff. However, this was the exception. Worst meal I have ever been served. Chili was only some old meat floating in grease. We couldn't even eat the chilli. I have a pic and video of it. I wish I could share it on here. You wouldn't believe your eyes.

We decided to try this place for the first time while we had family from out of state with us. That was a very bad idea. The chili is so sweet that it is basically inedible. Their pony shoe was dry and flavorless, which is sad seeing as that is our state dish. The worst part about it is the family members that came now think pony shoes are mediocre at best. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

It's ok. Food tastes better than it looks. Portions could use some attention. Guy at the register was disengaged 100 percent. It fits the bill for food if you are hungry.

Great place to eat. We have been to the Dew Chilli several times before and always have had great food and service.I had the Smothered Sancho and my wife had the Buffalo Sancho. Both were very good and almost too much to eat in one sitting. Our server Nate was a really friendly guy and was there when you needed him.The place was clean and there is plenty of parking.

My family and I (3 people) decided to visit Dew Chilli 2 on Tuesday 4/19 as it was close to our hotel, and we'd never been. We were greeted by the manager advising us of a potentially long wait as some of the staff had called out, and there were only 2 of them working. As we only wanted to try the chili and sausage, we were told it wouldn't take long. The wait wasn't long, but the chili was inedible as the hamburger and beans were sitting in a pool of grease. The manager was apologetic and replaced the chili with a sausage plate, which was at least edible without chili on top, and thus, I gave the service 4 stars. I have read some good reviews, so I hope this does not happen too often.

Waitress Sonya was very pleasant and friendly. On the grill was Jake food was excellent. If your ever in the Springfield area please stop by you won’t be disappointed.

5 star chili was darn good. I asked them to serve it on the under plate so it wouldn't overflow. They accommodated without complaint. Equal to Skyline at least. I liked the texture of the spaghetti pasta especially. Servers were polite but inexperienced, brand new and the trainer was only 6 months at this restaurant. Downsides include no imagination for beers. Only offering Bud Lite, Coors Lite and Lite. Yawn. No IPA's or local breweries. There's Golden Fox Brewing just down the road in Decatur which has some excellent ales. Why not? No WiFi available, fyi. I doubt DEW will last. I was in during dinner hour. Place was empty. Maybe when the corrupt IL legislature is in session, PAC's fill it up better. IDK. Will try Smoky Bones next door next time.

Food was ok'ish, server was a wonderful young lady with kind of a country twang, when I heard her manager refer to her as sounding like a country "not nice word" I decided I would never step in this place again! Food took too long to get, waited almost an hour. And the server apologized repeatedly for the problem. While her manager sat at his table doing I don't know what, except for complaining at her that she wouldn't go into the kitchen and help the cook. She did apologize that cook was New and of course at my age I can understand being new at a job so I do not blame the cook! Good service, ok'ish food, bad management!!

My first and last experience with this restaurant was writhe with negligence and in the end left me questioning the business’s ethics. Firstly, the restaurant forgot over 50% of the meal; nearly $70.00 worth of food. A level of negligence I’m unsure even the worst restaurants I’ve visited in the area have managed to display. The restaurant’s business ethics I began to call into question came after management argued with the customer about the matter and refused to accept accountability for the businesses shortsightedness. They did fulfill the order in the end. Though, that’s not really saying much considering fulfilling a purchase order is the bare bottom of the business barrel. I cannot speak for all of Dew Chili’s locations but this particular location #2 I can see going out of business if issues such as these persist. Don’t bother messaging me over this review. Because, this is the last few minutes of my time I am willing to extend to Dew Chilli for the foreseeable future.

Know this if you order online - the order goes to the restaurant but the order is handled by GrubHub- I ordered the chili and torpedo online- after 45 mins received notice it was ready - when I show up the owner tells me they haven't had tamales for several months and he's not sure why website doesn't take them off - it's your website! The kicker was he said he couldn't refund the difference, I would have to deal with GrubHub to get it back - won't make the mistake visiting them again

Tried this place because it got a plug in the visitor's guide as traditional Springfield experience. The editor of that publication should be hanging their head in shame for misdirecting thousands of tourists. Chili is awful. Main taste is salt, not chili. Swimming in so much suet gease I was able to ladle the grease out of my bowl and put it on the side of the dish. Apparently, this product is canned to the recipe and then opened in the restaurant. Nice staff is about all can say.

Great experience! Fries are fantastic. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

Walked in at noontime hardly any customers in the joint. The cook was busy talking with a customer and ignored customers waiting to be seated. I placed my order for the Torpedo. However, he said that it was a do, but what I got was old, very salty, and greasy Chilli and not being forthright with sharing that this busy had changed hands and that the menu had changed too.

They’ve revamped their menu and it didn’t disappoint. Everything we had was better than before. The server Nate was super friendly and took really good care of our table.
