Used to be a 5 star but like other businesses, once they started to expand the quality of the food and service went down. Having said that, it's still the best place for a sub in town. I usually get the pick 2. Reuben is great, #9 with the basics is great, chef salad is nice and big.

Justin was not only the best looking employee in the building but he also made me the most flame sammich I’ve ever had from a head wear. Get this dude a raise and hire more people like Justin. You can tell he is a hard worker and probably should be the manager of his own head west. The head west on 6th street has stale bread. Justin gave me the freshest bread. Some would say the freshest bread ever. He did put a lot of mayo on my son’s sandwich though.

Two of there managers sexually harassed and assaulted a young girl from Taylorville! She was fired for reporting it to the manager! You guys should be ashamed of yourself better get that checkbook out cause you’re going to pay!

Normally, the food is great. I don't know if the soup is premade, in house, or brought from a central location; but it was really off this visit. There were chunks of what seemed to be flour like curds. Really disappointed this visit; however, I will return in hopes of better results... The posted pic came from smokey pablano; it's not chicken.

Great until you have issues - ZERO customer service. The website's location selection is far too small, it's very easy to overlook, and you aren't asked to verify the location.
I placed an order online, and didn't realize until I got the text that the order was ready, that it had defaulted to the wrong location. I called to ask for a refund and the person on the phone has clearly had to deal with this issue a lot because she asked me not to get mad at her, but that once the food is ready, there can be no refunds.
I got the text so fast there was no way to realize in time. She gave me an email address to write to ask for a refund, but that email goes nowhere. I tried using the website to message to ask for a refund, it has been totally ignored. Seeing on other reviews this is a common problem.
Another time I ordered online, I arrived to pick it up, and they said they were out of one of the main ingredients for a sandwich I had ordered. I was never offered a refund, just told instead to order something else. To add to that, my order was also made wrong, and we were just expected to put up and shut up.
It's a shame because we really liked Head West, but I don't think we will be going back. Accidents happen, I've ordered from the wrong location at other restaurants and they haven't had issues refunding so I can order from the right place. And to not refund when THE RESTAURANT was at fault is even worse!

They allowed Our Lords name to be taken in vain on a flier posted in their front window for Oktoberfest. I asked when I walked in ready to buy a sandwich if anyone can just post a flier?
The person I spoke with said , “Yes but it has to be approved by a manager and I happen to be one of the managers. I said. “Great! There is a poster in the window that offends Our Lords Name by using His Name in vaIn and it is offensive to me as well.” He replied,”it doesn’t bother me.”
Then another worker asked me if I had been helped to order. I said ,”No I was going to order a sandwich but since the manager allows God’s Name to be offended and think nothing about it I won’t be back again,”

Came in today for lunch I’m new to town, They were in the middle of preparing a catering order. I didn't catch her name but the lady with all of the tattoos did not hesitate to get me taken care of. She was not only quick but very nice. She asked me how my day was, & had a genuine smile. The food ohhh there Isent even a word for it! The best hands down sub I have ever had!!! The sweet bread made it all the better. Loved the tunes playing and the cool art work in the walls as well. I will becoming back in a regular basis for sure. 😁 what started out as a kind of crappy day started to make a turn around with some great food, a smile & people who you could tell cared and put pride in their job.
Please it’s too hot in here, I wonder how employees are coping with all the heat coming from back there. Overall good service, lovely employees

i didn’t expect a sub shop close off the highway to have plant meats!! the vegetarian subs are simple to sub to make vegan. although, reviews, online info, and in-person options seemed to contradict, such as them actually not having vegan cheese or the vegan chicken strips turning out be vegan chicken tenders. i appreciated the patience the employee had regarding my questions!

Wow, what a gem! This headwear shop delivers the same fantastic quality as their other stores, and their sandwiches and desserts are chef’s kiss every single time. The only catch? It’s a bit hidden you’ll need to search for it or get lucky spotting it. But trust me, it’s worth the hunt! 100/100 would recommend supporting this local business.

As a vegetarian I am blown away by the options here. I hadn't heard of the store before and a colleague showed me the menu. Outstanding!
Their bread is delicious. Apparently made by mel-o-cream. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful. They have an unparalleled vegan meat selection - ham, turkey, meatballs, chicken, etc.
