I stopped by on my lunch hoping to get just a fork. I asked for one and they asked what I had bought and said nothing and they just stared at me. Weird.. Maybe you’d have customers if you all were a bit more friendly and not stingy over a plastic fork. The food didnt look appetizing as it was all prepped on the buffet, so I didn’t buy anything. Their neighbors, 710 Rippy G’s, was awesome, friendly and gave me a fork no questions.

Friendly staff, excellent service, and great food. Got the beef rendang and chicken satay, and found this an awesome place to get a taste of Indonesia!

In the mall food court, this is the only Indonesian-run Indonesian restaurant south of Chicago that I know. The owner and cook is a former chef who worked for mainly Japanese restaurants in America, and is a great chef. The food, whether Japanese or Indonesian, is great! Very nice people that run it.

The flavors were amazing, with the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The portion was also very generous, and the price was very reasonable.

What really impressed me, though, was the quality of the ingredients. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp.

Overall, I would highly recommend Habachi food at the mall to anyone looking for a quick and delicious meal. It's a great option for shoppers and families alike.

Good portions, good flavor, fresh ingredients. Business owners are quite kind and friendly. Great restaurant in a surprise location. It's a hidden gem of Springfield, IL !

Went to the mall to walk with my husband and stopped by this place for a late lunch. The food was awesome from the appetizer, veggies, to the main entree and the sauces! We ordered the Hibachi teriyaki chicken, hibachi filet mignon, ramen, and sushi and they all tasted good! Will be back for sure!

What a discriminatory establishment this is. Why did I have both of my teenage daughters say they took pictures of them after they wanted a refund for their food?! They were polite but adamant (they went somewhere else in the mall to eat- which probably caused some irritation from the owner/employee.) and it ruined the mall trip as a whole. When asked to delete the pictures. (It's over three images my children claim and they’re 17 and 15) they refused and was overall belligerent claiming my two were troublemakers.(This is their first time eating from there and second trip to the mall overall.)

I’m sure my children probably reminded them of some previous horrible customers(Teens can be cruel-it happens and I want to sympathize.) but from a mothers perspective I absolutely cannot accept this (who knows what he's going to do with those pictures? Why not get mall security, ban them or call the police to request they contact me?) I would urge black customers and female teens especially to be extremely wary going there in the future as this was very jarring and frankly unwelcoming experience.

I plan on calling the mall and anyone else to get those pictures removed from their phone. MY 17 year old was clearly upset telling me this- and she said she asked over three times for those pictures to be deleted. I even have VIDEO EVIDENCE of the guy and my child saying she didn't consent to those pictures as her friend luckily recorded. (I am just struggling to find a way to upload as I tried both Mov format and mp4 to no avail.)
