We were starving and happened upon Jungle Jim's. The staff was very friendly and took the time to tell us of the local speciality, The Horseshoe! We left with full bellies and smiles on our faces!
Got the country fried steak with eggs over medium, hash browns, and wheat toast. Everything, especially the hash browns, was delicious and for a great price. Hard to beat Jungle Jim's for breakfast if you're in the area.
Normally I don't give 5 stars to a Pepsi only place, but I'm rounding up for one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. This will be my breakfast all week while I'm in Springfield ... just have to sneak in a diet coke.Great plus ... the street in front (Peoria) is a piece of the original US Highway Route 66!
