Pizzas were the best - Creole & Steak & Crimini Mushroom. The owners chose to close for various reasons. As of October, 2022, Lake Pointe Grill is no more. We'll miss you!
Good food with choices you don't see everyday. I had their small portion salad and the Creole Pizza.Marinara sauce is layered with blackened shrimp, andouille sausage, sautéed peppers, onions & mozzarella cheese. Please try the Pulled Pork Natchos. Served with green chile con queso, pico de gallo, jalapeños and green onions over our homemade tortilla chips. In a former life, colleagues would also share the cheesy garlic bread and salads for lunch. I must mention their meatloaf!
I had the Pecan Chicken. It was fantastic! The cherry compote on top was excellent and the sweet potatoes and greens were good as well.
All three of us ordered something different and all of our entrees were exceptional!
Have patronized this restaurant a few times over the years when on vacation and our return travel brings us through Springfield. We were greated immediately upon entering and seated. The waitress took the drink order and allowed us time to look over the menu. We ordered, received our appetizer which was good. Then our food arrived. Mine was delicious. My wife's, not so much. But, manager comped the meal.Bottom line, great service, a glitch in otherwise good food (it happens). Would go back.
I dined in and also took out the next day. Very good food, service great and price (seems high no days) reasonable. Highly recommend.
Jambalaya was perfection. Seafood platter okay, but had too much spinach. Salmon cooked well, as was the root vegetables. Brownie was a bit undercooked, but heavenly. Raspberry cheesecake was the yum.
We Endured The WORST Service EVER!! We Had A 7:00 PM Reservation At Lake Point With An Event We Were Attending Nearby At 8:30 PM! We Were Seated On Time With Our Order Immediately Taken!! About 1/2 Of The Tables Were Filled! Patrons Came In After Us And Got Their Food, Ate And Then Left! We Still Had Not Received Our Food - They brought our food at 8:05 PM (1 hour after it was placed) and we had to ask for To Go Containers (because we didn’t have time to eat) and then STILL GAVE US A FULL BILL!! All the manager kept saying was “I’m Really SORRY, But There Is NOTHING We Can Do”!! I said “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOUR CHARGING US FOR A MEAL THAT WE WERE NOT EVEN ABLE TO EAT”!! I said “I WANT TO BE REFUNDED FOR OUR MEALS!! AFTER ALL, IT WAS YOUR MEAL PREPARATION STAFF’S PROBLEM, NOT OURS”!! Again, the Manager said “I’m SORRY, BUT There Is NOTHING I Can Do”!! By this time, I was pretty angry and said “THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO…….I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!” YOU CAN HAVE THESE MEALS BACK SINCE WE CAN’T TAKE AND EAT THEM AT OUR 8:30 PM SHOWTIME”!! The Manager finally said that she guesses she could give us a Gift Card for a free meal! Then, she couldn’t find the new Gift Cards! Another 5-10 minutes went by until she found them and issued it to us!! I COULDN’T BELIEVE THIS…….SHE SHORT CHANGE US AND DID NOT ISSUE THE GIFT CARD IN THE AMOUNT THAT WE PAID!! We left and FINALLY GOT TO DESTINATION AND WERE LATE!! I Give Lake Point Restaurant A ZERO (HORRIBLE) REVIEW!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE!! We were very DISAPPOINTED with the SERVICE and their MANAGERIAL STAFF!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
The lasagne was good really good. The cheese cake was not so good dry and small. Recommend staying away from the cheesecake.
Awesome pizza ! Hadn’t been there in awhile . Glad we went back to it . Even grabbed a pizza to take home

Service was good, but the Horseshoe was subpar at best. Very little meat, so-so cheese sauce, and undercooked fries were a wet mess. The tomato basil soup was hot and delicious, the only saving grace here. I must admit that this meal was not typical of previous dinners here, so maybe the cook had a bad day.
Curbside pickup. Very easy process. Excellent customer service. Delicious keto goddess salad.
We've been coming here for 2 years relatively consistently. The food is much better quality than the typical diner fare around Springfield, with a more thoughtful approach of ingredients and menu choices. It isn't 'fancy' per-se and the atmosphere is very relaxed, but the food is good, staff is always pleasant, and we always walk out glad we came.
My husband and I were seated in the bar. No one came to the table for drink orders or any order. After 15 minutes of waiting we up and left.
We were celebrating a birthday. Service started slow, but we got our appetizers about 20 after we were seated (toasted ravioli and cheese bread). Then service simply stopped. 50 minutes after our appetizers, three of our entrées arrived. The calzone was great, Boss Frank Zito pizza was good but the Michigan Avenue pizza was overdone just short of the point where I would have sent it back. The waitress reported that the fourth entree had been "burned too badly to serve" and was being remade and would be removed from the bill. 20 minutes later (that is, an hour and 10 minutes after the appetizers and a full 90 minutes after we arrived), the fourth entree - Margherita pizza finally arrived. My son reports it was "very good, but not worth the wait." Finally, an hour and 45 minutes after we arrived, a complementary dessert arrived for our birthday boy. The rest of us weren't even offered the chance to order dessert. During our nearly 2 hour oddessy, each of the four of us got a single refill on our drinks. My wife and I had dinner back in 2019 and that was wonderful, with outstanding food and spectacular service. What happened?
