Made reservations at 5:30 PM. Spent an evening here with my husband. He ordered the Beef Wellington and I ordered the Duck Confit. Maldner's did not disappoint! Everything was hot, tasty, and fresh. The duck I would highly recommend...amazing, savory flavor! For dessert, the chocolate Queen of Sheba was a delicious cake. 5/5 We will be coming back for our birthdays/anniversaries!

Left my credit card at the bar for a bar tab and went to dinner in the restaurant. After eating dinner I went to the bar to get my card and it was missing. While I was eating dinner $2,600 was charged at neighboring big box stores.

For 30 years My favorite place to eat for special occasions always have good food and service this last time Our service was excellent But the food was Thumbs down for the price The filet had no flavor even my 7-year-old granddaughter who loves steak said do I have to eat this The mashed potatoes were soggy and I would swear they were instant did not taste like real mashed potatoes And again my granddaughter refused to eat The mashed potatoes Was supposed to be served with asparagus and they put spinny on it The waiter apologized said I don't know what's going on If they ran out of asparagus and substituted Daughter had the cod special She was not impressed The salt shakers were rock hard And the Olive oil for dipping your bread was bitter We asked for a different Olive oil and it wasn't any better The cocktails were great and the dessert was good I would recommend that they put on a kid's menu That is affordable

If you ever find yourself in this hole, be sure to go to this restaurant and order the Smoked Trout Plate - it's very tasty, smoked fish with Borodino bread and horseradish sauce, with apple cider just wonderful!

This restaurant is an excellent choice for families and friends. My wife, three children, and I dined on the patio and received outstanding service from Lonny. I highly recommend this establishment and suggest requesting Lonny as your server. His service was exceptional from beginning to end. We will definitely return.

What a difference a few months makes. Maldaners used to be our favorite restaurant. We haven’t been for a while because we moved out of Springfield, which is reinforced every time we drive into town. The hostess was wearing a sweatshirt and crocs, appetizer was ok (scallops), the meals (halibut and rack of lamb) weren’t seasoned, the plates were hot but the food was cold (under heat lamps too long?), the server didn’t refill our wine (bottle purchase), dessert was microwaved, and we had to look around for 10 minutes (no one else was there- 8:40pm) to get our bill.
This isn’t the place to spend $200 for dinner.
We won’t return. 2 stars was due to our nostalgia.
