The food was very good except for the Salmon was over cooked. Our Mussels and Lamb Chops were excellent. Service was very lacking. Food took over an hour to get with an empty diner. Only 2 other people were there. We got helped from the other waiter because our waiter never came to check on us. I had to ask for a drink refill when my glass was empty. Waiter must of had something going on due to his grumpiness.
Fabulous prime ribeye, baked potato 🥔, and pork chop
Ryan&Carl where absolute amazing and the food SO DAHM GOOD+!+
Nice dim atmosphere. Jazz was playing throughout. Plenty of options on the menu. The waiter was great. All around pleasant experience. We'll be back.
Fantastic service and our dinner was amazing.
Great food & Service
We took a short trip to Springfield around dinner time and ran into this place on accident and BOY were we pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was soooo authentic and delicious! We had filet which was cooked to perfection, the fried ravioli was just like my Italian grandmas, the spinach artichoke dip was to die for and the cheesecake…OMG, the cheesecake was phenomenal! This place is a true hidden gem! We are going back in a few weeks for my husband’s birthday and we will probably visit at least once a month! Loved it!!!!
Husband and I came from northern Illinois to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. He had a delicious steak with a baked potato and I had the filet medallions with fettuccine. Wonderful meal!!! Thanks, Mitch!!!
We had an excellent meal as part of a reception for a church event. The food was fantastic and the service was extremely attentive.
Very nice place and very unique. We were passing through town and were very happy we stopped.

We had a great evening with Mitch, who is also the restaurant's butcher. His dry-aged steaks are featured for the holiday season, and they are fantastic. Our party also enjoyed the ribs, carbonara, and artichoke dip. The salad starters are very generous, and the caesar was particularly delicious. To top it off, my mom loved the bread pudding for dessert, which she stated, "Tastes like it's supposed to." Translation: how she used to make it...perfect.
The fireplace in the bar area added to the cozy atmosphere on a cold November evening, and the service was attentive and caring.

We hadn’t eaten there for years, but returned recently. Since they bill themselves as a steakhouse, I decided to try the filet. They claim to have USDA prime, so I went with that. It’s hard to find USDA prime in Springfield. I’ve had more luck in Chicago, Jackson Hole, and Tampa. I have to say, I was completely underwhelmed with my steak. It was supposed to be 8 ounces, but there is no way that was a half pound of meat. I asked for medium rare, a little on the rare side, and got medium rare, a little on the medium side instead. Close enough, so I didn’t say anything. By the texture of the steak, I’m guessing it was grass fed. It did not have the tender texture of a grain fed steak. We may be back, but I won’t have the steak again.
