The walleye dinner was very good! We ordered 2 for carryout. It included everything we asked for and the owner was very pleasant when I picked it up. We hadn't ordered from here in a while but I'm glad we did! We'll definitely be back!

The owner was very friendly and the food was hot and delicious!! Haven't ordered from them for a while, but I'm glad I did and will definitely order again soon!

MJ's Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. My family had shrimp, Catfish, and wings, the meet was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. The owners was hospitable, and the staff anticipated, and attended to every need. We highly recommend MJs. We'll be back the next time we're in town.

Found this place today. Delicious. Rib tips. Wife had Half fried chicken. Apple pie, pecan pie. Both perfect. Hats off to you all. Friendly service and great food at this small family owned establishment. Definitely be back.

Delicious fried chicken! $15 Came with 4 pieces of chicken (leg, breast, wing and thigh) cole slaw and fries. Building didnt look great on the outside, but we tried it anyway. Definitely glad we did.

Hands down the most welcoming establishment upon entering, then this mouth watering giant plate of delicious walleye comes out ! And the Mac n cheese!!! This hidden gem is our new favorite!!!!

We traveled to Springfield to visit some of the historical sites and stayed at an Airbnb right across the street from MJ's. The food was great! We had the walleye, slaw, fries, rib tips, green beans and pecan pie. Everything was yummy! We had a chance to sit and chat with the owner, Margaret, and she was a gem. We would recommend this place if you're in the Springfield area.

I had the the cat fish, green beans, and the fried tomatoes and it was delicious. The owner came and talked with us. Waitress great. We will definitely be going back.
