I just wanted to give a little shoutout to Dino at Route 66 MotorHeads Bar & Grill, Museum & Entertainment Complex. I’ve been here multiple times before without kids but this is the second time I’ve been here with my kids. The first time was a couple weeks ago when we were headed to a tournament in Chatham. The kids and I stopped for lunch before we headed there. My son has high functioning autism so he takes particular interest in classic cars. While we waited for our food he ventured outside to check out the classic cars and struck a conversation with Dino. After a bit, Dino told me how well mannered my son was and then told me son to always check to see if he was there next time we were in. My son felt like ROYALTY. Most people do not give my son the time of day because he he operates differently and struggles with social conversation. Dino didn’t care. As soon as we left my son said “WE HAVE TO COME BACK TO SEE DINO, I LOVE THIS PLACE” Fast forward to today, yet again another tournament in Jacksonville meant a surprise stop for my kids at Motorheads. My son didn’t even sit down to order his drink, he immediately looked for Dino. Unfortunately, he wasn’t there. We had the same waitress as last time and she remembered us. She told my son she would go double check to see if he was there but he wasn’t. 10 minutes later….Dino walks in with his daughter and greeted my son with excitement and told him he brought a different car this time so once he was done ordering his food he’ll show my son his SSR. My son was STOKED and so excited that he remembered him. He let my son sit in the SSR and showed him the engine and how it operates. He taught my son the ins and outs of his Vette the first time and the SSR this time. This lengthy post is just to say that Motorheads will always have a special place in our hearts because it’s the perfect place for families and they LOVE showing kids the hot rods. Specifically to Dino: Thank you for showing such special attention to a boy that just wants to learn but normally gets a cold shoulder. He’s curious and you noticed that immediately. Dino, you’re my son’s new hero and best friend (you don’t know that but you’re forced now 😂). You don’t know how much it means to me as a mom to see this for my son. We love and appreciate the hell out of you.

Came in with a big group of students in town for IL FFA State Convention, and had an amazing experience! MotorHeads was extremely accommodating when we called ahead in the day to make a reservation, and we had the best service and experience during our time there. Food, service, and atmosphere was fantastic!! Thank you MotorHeads!

Service was fine as were the sandwiches, however the prices....two people (lunch) two Italian beef sandwiches w/fries, one tea, one soda and a shared slice of cheesecake......$55.00/$65.00 with tip!😢

First time customer, I wish I had gotten our waitresses name. Food was delicious, service was fast and she was so nice. They were slam packed and she didn’t seem phased at all. 10/10 would recommend and will go back.

I don’t often review places but when the food is bad (especially when it’s expensive) I will. Family of 4 went out to dinner and it was about $90 (not including the tip) with an appetizer, 1 soda, and 2 alcohol beverages. The fried pickles appetizer was good but it’s hard to mess up fried food. I ordered the ribeye meal and I specifically asked for it to be blue in the middle and just seared or I would send it back. All of the food actually came out really quick, probably less than 10 minutes which was an excellent surprise. However, my ribeye was definitely cooked about medium MAYBE medium rare and slightly pink. I requested to have one cooked and again specified just to sear it and make sure it’s cold in the middle (yes, that’s the best way to eat a steak because the flavor isn’t cooked out). The waitress was fairly nice and pleasant about the situation. When my new steak was brought out by someone else, I cut into it and it was cooked how I requested. However, it was clearly NOT a ribeye and something like a sirloin. You could easily tell by the cut, the shape, the taste, the lack of fat in the cut, and the complete lack of the marbling and fat mixture that makes the ribeye a “greasy” feeling steak. I asked the waitress if they sent me a sirloin and she said they only have ribeye or filet mignon and then walked away. There’s absolutely no way that was a ribeye based on my previous statement and I’m extremely disappointed there was no remedy offered (as in a different entree) nor was there concern over the taste. I would say a McRib from McDonald’s is closer to a ribeye than the cut of meat I received tonight.

This place is amazing. Food is great. I recommend the pork chop! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we had made reservations for 20 ppl for a work party. Instead of seating us in the bigger room(which was vacant) they sat u back in the corner in top of each other. Very uncomfortable

Cool place to stop if you're traveling or if you're in the area. They have good food, it's always fun on a car show day and don't forget to check out the museum. Bands on the weekend and always something to look at.

Parking: Plenty of parking on a car show day it's a little tougher and that's because there are so many beautiful cars to look at

Was definitely worth the stop. Food was pretty good. Fries and tots a bit salty. Waitress was super nice. All the things to see are super cool, but feels slightly chaotic when sitting down to eat. Museum portion is cute. Bathrooms were clean and decorated cute. Recommend to go, eat, check it out. However, not a place I'd seek out otherwise. A thank you to wait staff for all being very kind!

I did not eat there. We were on a long-distance motorcycle ride and stopped in. It seems like a good place to eat. They have a museum there that you can go through and that was interesting.

Loved our experience at Motorheads as we're traveling Route 66 specifically for the Route 66 experience! They have truly embraced the texture and vibe of the route, both inside and out! We were greeted with such a genuine welcome by Monica when we entered the gift shop the bar was set pretty high! She took us around, introduced us to Ron and told us all about the place. It wasn't too busy, just a few folks here and there so we figured sitting at the bar we'd be able to chat it up with the bartenders. Unfortunately, they were focused on everything except the customers. The service was fine, only had to flag one of them down once, but just not personable or engaged like we expected from a Route 66 spot. The food was cooked perfectly and served nice and hot, even on hot plates! The gal that brought the food was just like Monica, happy, friendly and genuine! The Impala Burger is no joke, we even ordered an additional side of Jalapeno Bacon! Booze & beer selection is good, restrooms clean and the whole place has eye candy for days! Definitely get your kicks on Route 66 at Motorheads!
