Well let's see, dirty floor, tables with food crumbs on them. I noticed a stopped ceiling fan with dust on it's blades while another fan was turned on over the food bins. Could bet that one had dust on it's blades as well. For any Sunday one would think there would be way more than one person handling both the money and the food prep for customers. Not the case here.

My husband and I stopped to get our dinner this evening after aday of expkoeing Springfield. Although being from the south, I am not a fan of cornbread, but, let me tell you. This cornbread is sweet and moist. Nickey, you are fabulous.

Food was descent and I was referred by someone to give it a try..however I wouldn't go there again. The owner was very rude and staff was just as bad but it stems from the top. You don't have bad employees you have bad leadership. I want my food prepared, cooked and served with love not anger, rudeness and unprofessional.

i used to love this place. even after on one visit when i watched the server go out, smoke a cig then go back in and proceed to plate food w/o washing hands (i said something before my food was touched)...i went back several times after that. but not anymore. i'm a big believer in supporting black-owned businesses but not when the establishment is being greedy. NOW there's a $2 upcharge if u get 2 of the same sides vs 2 different sides...she said it's bc her food is in high demand! how about just make more?? or just raise the prices of the plates. the mac & cheese aint THAT good. plus the wait is awful and the customer service leaves alot to be desired.

Its rare to say that everything is good, let alone some of the best you've tasted. The mac n cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, and corn bread all rank as some of the best I've tasted. I also had fried chicken that was wonderful. The service was also above and beyond. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

The food is okay, enough to be honest I don't think I have caught this restaurant at it's best.The have added gambling, and vending machines that dispenser bottles of booze, no one is really monitoring who goes into the slot machine section though ( no carding), and they have no public access restrooms.There is so much about the combination that seems like a recipe for disaster, or inconvenience.

First time customer and I will definitely be back! I wish I could give more stars. Phenomenal! I got the half baked chicken with mac n cheese, green beans, and red beans and rice. The chicken is so tender and juicy, mac and cheese is probably some of the best I have ever had, the red beans and rice has this flavor i cant put my finger on but it is sweet and it has a little kick of spice, but not like hot.. green beans are fantastic. A little hidden gem of the field. ❤
