Great classic Springfield restaurant. The French-fried lobster tail is a must-try.
EDIT: Added fifth star. Atmosphere cannot be beat. Steaks are local, literally from down the street, great service, owner great to talk to.
Be sure to get the homemade creamy garlic salad dressing and the chive cheese baked potato.
The food was amazing!! The owner and the wait staff were super friendly and accommodating. I’d go there again and again! We went there for our 11th anniversary.

Sorry, this place isn't near as good as it used to be. Two of the last three times I've been there the service was horrible and the steaks were sub-par. I used to love this place but I've made my last visit. I would have had a way better meal at Texas Roadhose for half the cost. Goodbye, old friend. I'm moving on for good!

My wife and I went for the 1st time to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We were greeted immediately by the owner, who was very friendly and personable. We were seated promptly. Our waitress did a phenomenal job. The food was fantastic. The entire staff was helpful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and schedule your next date night here. So far and above any of the chain steakhouse options we have in town. We will definitely be back

This is my first time in Springfield, IL and my wife and I have tried a few places but this is by far the best! If we come to Springfield again this will be our first stop. The food and service were absolutely phenomenal and anyone who says otherwise must be crazy. The owner of this restaurant is very friendly, funny and will make sure to take care of you! The fried lobster was so good I thought I was about to drool! The Old Luxemburg Inn is the place to visit if you’re ever in Springfield, IL.

The ambience, service, and food were out of this world phenomenal. I’ve done lots of traveling and eating and this is the first time I’ve felt so compelled to write a review. My husband and I were blown away with the kindness of the owner and the quality of the food. Absolutely worth every penny; if we end up traveling back up to these parts, we will absolutely be eating here. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
